For the end user, we're probably not going to see any immediate changes once the new skeletal system is in place. The positive effects will be an increase in unique looking armor, because production time will be significantly decreased.

I thought it was going to be a unique skeleton for each race so that there would be something differentiating between them. Think fat ogres from EQ1 vs the body-builder human ogres we have in EQ2. I guess that's totally wrong though, I admit I haven't really read much about it. I just assumed. Uni-Body for the lose!

| Romo is a manwhore | Old skeleton isn't either. That's why they have to tailor make each armor piece for each race and each gender. That's why it takes a really long time for new armor appearances to make it into the game. I don't know the specifics of the new system, but Uni-body came up and Scott called out a resounding "No" to that one. |

+1 Internets | Scott can have some pretty funny responses... Anyway, the expansion appears to be going well. I think everything is looking pretty good overall. The avatars / gods look very similiar to what I would have imagined with some minor exceptions. The one thing they have going for them is that the avatars are manifestations of a said being. There's no standard or definition of their appearence. In regards to the gods, they're gods. They can appears however they want and it as also been a long time since we seen them, according to lore, so they may want to "appear" differently to Norrath. Regardless, I am much happier with what EQ2 is doing moreso than anyone else. Unless Conan starts kicking out some impressive news and makes something really nice happen, I think EQ2 may prove to be the best overall MMO available. Especially if you are playing on PvP, it's some of the best fun I have ever experienced in EQ. BTW Scott, we need some insight and pics on the Epic weapons!! |

+20 Internets | That screenshot is horrible, but it looks pretty much what it looks like on lower settings (your average gamer) I would wager. Does Mistwalkers still play? I asked in the FFXI (poor game hasn't aged well) thread when I saw Braen jumping to Fenrir. My bro and his friend just rolled on AB and with Kunark around the corner I thought it might not be a bad idea to reactivate.

Considering he's in charge of the Art in the game, I'll assume he knows what's up with the sarnak model.
