The caster one is the only questionable one really. It should be 63 spell damage instead of 54 spell hit, since it's not like hitting the hit cap is hard or even avoidable in top end gear. It's especially bad if you're, say, an elemental shaman or shadow priest too.

Well it could let you gem/gear/enchant other slots differently and just shuffle it around. 54 hit in one slot is huge and means you can ignore it for most other slots entirely.

It's not so hot if you are a T6 caster, but it's fucking amazing if you are just starting. They should make a crit one for the high end casters, but I guess they don't need that love to be honest.

I guess it depends on if it's a trainer recipe or a sunwell 25 trash drop like the engineering goggle upgrades are. Someone just starting out could be waiting a long damn time to see the recipe show up on the AH.

Hit is still an extremely poor stat for shadow priests and elemental shamans at any gear level. Yeah, spriests can remove points from Shadow Focus, but they already end up doing that with current gear long before T6. Elemental shamans would be hit capped (+1) with just that one item, and swapping talents around really doesn't benefit them much.

And as an engineer, I call bullshit if these are trainer recipes.

You'll have to explain to me what you are getting at. You are saying you can get something comparable to the goggles at revered w/ Sha'tar?

In terms of acquiring the recipe, yes. I probably wouldn't argue that those specific items were comparable in quality. Alchemy as a whole vs. engineering as a whole... now that I might argue.

Mostly I'm just bitter that I won't be getting the Mayhem Projection Goggles schematic (or the other two plate ones, since I have all three goggles now... I really only care about upgrading the dps ones though). I don't really see myself doing SW25, and the server I'm on is such a shithole that you barely ever even see T5 recipes on the AH so I don't expect to see something brand new anytime before the expansion's release.

A very newb question, oriented towards a twink I want to make: let's say I buy one of those fancy tailored things that add to sta and spell damage (spellthreads?) and apply it on a green pair of pants for level 10 so to say (or do I need to have the tailor applying them?), will that item become level required: 60 or stay level 10?

It will stay level 10.

You need a level 60+ character to apply it so it only works on BOE items. My 19 hunter twink has a clefthide armor kit on some green level 19 pants of the monkey.

The trick is to not apply it to a BoE item, but to a white non-binding item. You're putting 35 dmg and 20 stamina on the item, do you really give a shit about the 2 int/sta you're losing by not getting an "of the Eagle" item instead? And then when you're done with it, you can re-use it on your next twink, loan to a friend, or just sell it on the AH to someone else's newb. Only reason I can see for using a green item is for a permanent L19 BG twink like Twobit said.

Done this with a full set of items actually. Runspeed enchant on boots, various +str enchants on other shit. Fiery on a dagger. Worked out quite well since I have 8 billion alts.

You can enchant Simple Black Dress - Items - World of Warcraft with the lvl 35+ enchants yet still wear it at level 1 as well.

As an spriest with imp psychic scream, and silence for PVP extra hit to free up talent points to max the crit talent, and imp MB would be nice.
