It's easier than any game I've ever played to start over and be competitive in short order....

If you want a "kill a mob for exploding loot pinata" I don't think WoW is where you're headed... you might enjoy Hellgate London, try it at launch.

And if you go there at 55, you can burn thru a level in about 2 hours or so. Picked my 55 shaman outta the shitter last week and got him to 60 in about 6 hours of total play just grinding boars until the quests opened up in Hellfire.

I'm leveling a new character to multi-box and I'm trying something different this time. I'm actually reading the fucking quests. It's really amazing the amount of awesome that some of the quests are...especially the low level forsaken quests. Yuriv's tomb remains one of my favorites.

I think it definitely adds something to the game if, like me, you've pretty much just rushed every character through before.

Actually I found myself laughing at some of the daily quest text recently, and I never read quest text. The Booterang is a good one.

I can't wait for them to change the xp rate for 2.3, but Im betting its like 10% faster or some retarded revamp.

I've tried to do this with 3 chars - I always get around 25-30 and just start clicking through them -_-

Maybe I did the math wrong, but if you started 8 weeks ago and have been 70 for 5 weeks, that means it took 3 weeks, and at 7 days played, 7 out of 21 means that means you were playing 8 hours a day? Something can't be right!

And FuckYou is right about the leveling. It sucks, and it's no excuse to blame it on us "doing it before" after what, 3 or 4 fucking years of the game being in existence?

Yeah, I've been doing the same now that I've been in Outlands first time. Got plenty of laughs out of them so far. Another thing I noticed is that after reading quest log I rarely need to look anything in thottbot

Just an update, my wife played for about 1 hour and hated it and hasn't brought it up since.

Sooooooo, after about 10 emails to wowGM@blizzard.com, they were able to get my level 50 Orc Warrior unstuck from wherever he was (couldn't log him in, must have been somewhere that changed in the last 20 months).

So, I have 2 RL friends that are still playing, and in about the last 2 weeks I've leveled him to 58. It's alot more fun with friends.

So, anyways, now that my wife doesn't hate me for playing, I guess it's safe to say I'm going to keep playing until my RL friends leave or the game gets too boring, which so far, it hasn't.

Also, it helped that my buddy gave me a lesson on warriors. I was probably the worst specced, worst played warrior in existence before I quit. I had probably 12/12/12 in worthless talents, running around Azshara at level 50 with dual-weild axes, attacking shit with Rend, Thunder Clap, and Hamstring and wondering why I couldn't solo and died on almost every other mob.

Since my buddy schooled me, now I am happily leveling with a 42/5/0 MS build and some ultra slow 2hander, and it's never been easier.

WoW can be pretty fun, especially with real life friends playing too.

I figured I'd post this here rather than amongst the flood of arguing in the current WoW thread.

Does anyone know of a good keyboard mapping program? The deal is I re-subbed just recently out of boredom and I am leveling a new character. I have access to a friends account that I use to run myself through instances really quick once I get the quests.

What I am looking to do, and what I think I have read other people doing, is they have a keyboard mapper program or script that when they push a key it has an assigned task in both WoW windows. So I push 1 and character A sunders and character B casts flash of light, instead of having to switch back to the other window to cast a heal. Basically running 2 wows on one computer.

Anyone know of a layman friendly program that is capable of that that isn't considered a "bot" type hack? Or is scripting actions like that an exploit? If it is considered "botting", even though I am at the keyboard, and is detectable and bannable I won't bother. Thanks in advance.

I remember people talking about it before, and it definitely did not sound 'layman friendly' at all.

I restarted a druid after quitting 6 months ago from horde and almost a year from alliance the day of the 2.3 patch and with ~4 days played I'm at one bubble from 53 and this is with me spending almost a full 24 hours doing lower level BG's to mess around and get boots and waiting around in game afk so I didn't have to log in and wait for queues each night. The game is more trivial than ever. If you know what you're doing and don't fuck around it takes around an hour/hour and a half per level. The worst part was going from 1-30 for the 13th time and hating every second of it.

My biggest complaint aside from the newbie factor is THEY PUT GUARDS ON THE FUCKING BOATS. wth why must they ruin world pvp more and more and more.

Though at least I've had more fun playing than I've had since probably release. So many people leveling up again I've been dropping nerds left and right and for the most part most haven't been cry babies calling out their 70's. They either suck it up and get more equal levels to fight or just go elsewhere. I spent 3 hours a few nights ago out in Hinterlands just being a total griefing whore against 3 49's (rogue/prot pally/shadowpriest). Just pop in and drop one and/or hope to find a straggler. Kept killing the renji escort guy etc. One of them did log his 70 on but after /yawn and /spit spamming him after he killed me once they went back to their 49 and we had more PVP fun till I got tired =o)

Having done both sides now multiple times each I can tell you horde has it far, far, far, far easier from 30-58. Doing a draenai now purely for shits and giggles I can tell you it has been god awful painful from 45-50. Horde has far more quests (with useful rewards) in hinterlands, badlands, swamp of sorrows, and arguably better ones in feralas. All alliance has to match all this is 3 quests in burning steppes. I actually had to grind all of 48 and 49 since I had exhausted every single quest hub except azshara (since I just refuse to go to that zone).

The changes are great but there still is work to be done. I'll be set til around 54 and then it's going to be at least half grind up til 58.

2-3 hours a week is not worth the box price and the subscription. That's too casual even for WoW. No one is saying you have to be hardcore but if you're not putting in 4-8 hours a week why bother playing an MMO?

If you wanted to play the game an hour a night 4 nights a week and 2 hours a day on some weekends, then WoW is an amazing game for you, even now, actually ESPECIALLY now the way the game is setup with daily quests and battlegrounds and such at level 70. Much less than that and there is no point.
