| The entire point of leveling guides is to grind without grinding. It has you kill every single mob you pass just because it's exp. If you do that, you don't need a guide.

My guild [learning archimonde right now] only requires Omen, and strongly suggests bigwigs. This is what my UI looks like. http://ot.erxz.com/Aestil/priest.png

| I started a Druid for the leveling changes and I have yet to run out of quests or need to grind so far. I didn't even get to do all of STV because it had started to grey out by the time I got there and I ended up missing out on Azshara entirely. I deleted like 8 quests for ZF out my log which really made me sad. Right now I'm looking at 57 with all of Winterspring left, all of the Plaguelands, all of Silthius, and all of the Burning Steppes. Really, the only way I can imagine having any problems now is if you are never killing anything besides 100% what is for quests and nothing in between. Even then it looks suspicious.

No, not that big. a lot of those mods aren't even visible in that screen shot. Also, alot of them are libraries, and a bunch of them are 'module' type mods that you can disable or enable various aspects of the mod. [cartographer, quartz, pitbull] a bunch of folders, 1 mod.

| ...please step in front of an on-coming bus with that QQ shit. Anyway. Nice setup and a nice clean UI I like it. The new Dustwallow is awesome for Horde, dunno about Alliance. All the quests are right next to each other. I've managed to skip a few of the annoying quests in the zones and still level fairly quickly. You don't have to skip entire zones but you can now be a bit more selective about quests you do. So far, I've been pretty disappointed about changing the elite stuff to non-elite. Jintha'alor used to be a rough part of Hinterlands, now it's fucking cake. I won't even comment on Stromgarde. I guess the people that just want to hit 70 as soon as possible probably like it, but its rather sad how easy nearly every quest is now. I hate the grind, but I still liked the old challenges. I mean cmon Fozruk is non-elite and his bodyguards have 250 hp or some weak shit. Last edited by Infirmary : 12-08-2007 at 09:44 PM. |

The issue on many servers is most of the places are getting to be ghost towns and its damn near impossible to get groups to go to Stormguard or to get a few people to help you take down a well guarded elite. Don't get me wrong I agree with you totally, its definitely dumbing things down and making it easy but in reality those places were not that difficult to start with you just had to rely on getting others to go there with you to help. As that becomes harder and harder to do as more and more people are maxed out and much fewer new players are trying to level its probably better that they are actually able to complete this stuff on their own as opposed to just skipping it or trying to scrounge up a group which can be next to impossible on some servers.

| Back to the Stromgarde thing, now I asked about this and it still kinda confusing to me. I was doing the quest in Stromgarde to kill the brutes and shaman ogres in the back of the area and was noticing that the shaman mobs were 1 level lower than me and giving 435exp a kill, yet the brutes 1 level higher were giving me 210 a kill. I know they revamped the amount of exp you get a kill, and no I wasn't rested at the time. ![]() |
