Are the orc camps still around the new Commonlands? I never started a toon in the Qeynos area so I'm in the dark. I only ever leveled in GFay and East Commonlands > NRo > OoM. Sunday works out better than Friday and that'll give everyone plenty of time to patch and what not.

Qeynos sounds decent with me. Half elves and humans start there, so thats a wide variety of classes. And with *cough* PoK it's easy to get there at the start just so we're all arranged.

Plus my first character was a human, so holy shit nostalgia for me.

The Qeynos starting area is fairly fun actually. Blackburrow has some fond memories. Some serious train issues, but it's a fun zone that you can crawl deep into and level in there up to 17ish.

4pm PST is a little early for me, but I could be on 5-6 pm PST (8-9 EST).
I think this will be a common problem. Having it start at 9pm EST would make the raids go too late for a lot of us. The obvious solution is to have two groups, one for people who want to start at 6-7pm EST, and one group for those who want to start at 9-10pm EST. Our first meet will be at 6pm EST on Sunday, so that should at least avoid that issue until after we get the gears going.

Policy on two boxing btw?
Twoboxing is fine, as long as both characters follow the rules, and both are grouped (No buff bots 'power leveling' etc). If I get a group of decent players behind me, we'll probably move at a pretty fast speed through things (Because that's the way I like to play, cowboy!), so I expect that if 3 people are there playing well and keeping up, the person two boxing needs to keep up as well. If we show up at some point and there's 5 one boxers and one two boxer, I might tell the two boxer to just use one class, if I don't simply split it into one group.

Is this going to be a guild thing, or just people getting together? It sounds like a great idea if we can corral everyone into the same stuff. It would be cool to actually be excited to get a BBC from Befallen.
We'll probably make a guild for it just for communication reasons, but if people want to be tagged under their current guilds I understand and am fine with it.

I think Braen's idea about test server is solid.. no hackers and no need to buy expansions

I'm psyched, just let me know where and when and I'm there. I'd like to play a pure melee, monk rogue or warrior.

on test if you use free level 25 do they give you items as well? I could see that if we played on Test and they dont give free items on auto level.. it could be nice to level from 1 on up with a group and experience the newbie content.

If some people fall behind they can use the auto level to catch up to at least 25 of course. *shrug*

How would you feel about someone who already has like a level 30 character waiting and joining the group once you folks hit that level range? I know this is going to sound lame, but I really want to be able to twink a guy and kill shit like that - but I also want to be a part of this in some way.

Can I have my cake and eat it too?

If you equip yourself similar to everyone else I wouldn't think it would be a problem. You wouldn't be able to keep any twink gear equipped though.

That'd be fine, but you'd have to limit yourself to similar gear that our shamans had at that level.

Test Server

Test sounds great but then we're at the mercy of a character wipe without any warnings from SOE. That's the only reason I would choose Combine over test. I'll roll a halfling paladin, I'll name him Nagoura if Ogun is not available.

P.S. Wife due to give birth (another girl) between September 27 through October 7th. I will be home for a week after that, but we also have a 17 month old daughter so I will be running interference until she is put to bed so I might end up having to join a PST group for a while after Naava is born.

I would like to play!

My usual role is healer, so Cleric is an obvious choice but I would also be willing to play an enchanter. Possibly a bard too, but I really don't care for any class that has to melee.

Sunday would work much better, I doubt I could get my account caught up and patched by tomorrow since I am busy tonight. I'm EST and would prefer not to have to be up really late on Sunday ( like past midnight).

I wouldn't be against using the test server. What's the community like? How often is the test server down? What's the population/lag like?

I haven't heard of a test wipe in years. My characters are still there from over a year ago.

And if you /testbuff you do get all your spells upto that level and level appropriate gear.

Ha ha I can't believe I am once again downloading EQ. I am very excited about this. Since all of my achievements in WoW will be wiped clean once the expansion comes out, I don't feel bad about skipping out. A character wipe on test would blow though. Personally I would still prefer Combine or FV as a server.
