8800 GTX is still the fastest card you can get, and the CPU is only a tiny notch behind the best dual core Intels of today. Only thing better would be a quad core, but I don't know if EQ even utilizes multi-core very well.

No it doesnt, which is shitty for a CPU limited game. The second core helps, getting rid of scheduling conflicts between the OS and the game.

I dont raid, but play at a very stable fast framerate on 1650x1080 that sometimes judders in towns.

S939 x2-4200, 4GB, Vista64, 8800GTS 320MB, onboard sound. Thats a fairly midrange setup these days.

Glad I am not the only one aware of this. I think it's moved well beyond ass kissing, Braenes head and partial torso are wedged quite firmly. I don't blame him, apparently thats his desired career path, but jesus have some respect for yourself, and at least get the job before you bury your face in the collective developer lap.

Edit: I do however feel bad for those poor Equinox schmucks who shelled out extra money above the subscription to get into beta early, when all it takes is a little ass kissing to the right people to get in. I don't have a problem with how the system works per se, I just don't like to see people getting duped, which is what is happening.

And that was one raid that week. IIRC you guys didn't flesh out a full raid schedule until the beginning of September.
I still talk to many members in the guild and it seems like the guild raids have been at a stand still due to RoK and the officers are deciding to play VG and FFXI. I'm glad I worked hard for my own gear (note, camping EoF legendary shit myself) so when I left, I wouldn't feel bad.

edit: BTW, I'm not knocking you, Braene, or anything. I thought you were a cool guy. A major reason for my leaving was because Woobles "warned" me for not coming to raid. What's funny is, the guild had no rules set in place where you had to raid. Many members agreed with me when I was bitchin' at being threatened. Greyfox and yourself were probably the best officers (even though you weren't on that much) in the guild.

I am not surprised on the Wobbles thing.

I was playing hardcore up until the last week before I quit, where I went an hid on an alt because I couldnt handle what was going on anymore, ie was burned out. I know you moved to another server, had I known I would have tried to scoop you up into this fantastic guild I found.

Now, let's not start slamming Braene, please. I never got the impression he's sucking up for a job at SoE (although, I can't recall any time he's been critical of them on this forum), just that he likes to get into beta to explore new places - sort of like me.

And as for Mistwalkers in general, they're good folks. Cut that crap out, please.

And as for me being a "butt kisser", well, I haven't even logged in for nearly two months for one thing, and do you really think it would be that hard for a 70 Coercer to be in some other raid guild on AB within about 27 seconds of getting booted from Mistwalkers? I'm just being honest. Braene and Mistwalkers are - in general - mature, intelligent adults, good gamers, and good friends.

Not from what I've seen. I've been back sporadically for the past couple of weeks, and we've had 20+ people there on raid nights. Of course, now that RoK beta is going on, it's pulling a lot of our "full timers" away more than they should be, probably.

Absolutely. I agree 110%. However none of those qualities by default make good guild leaders and or officers. As I said, there is nothing wrong with Mistwalkers raiding, and nothing wrong with the guild in general. If something fits, you wear it, and if it doesn't you get something that does.

I would group or raid with just about any member of Mistwalkers, and would come to their aide if able, at the drop of a hat. My conversation currently is about the bullshit Braene was spewing about MW raiding experience, and about the graphics engine performance on raids.

He makes some excellent posts, I enjoy reading them but occasionally he goes off the reservation.

That's what I am here for

Umm, no. I think you can safely say that extensive "butt kissing" was involved.

Hah!

You really shouldn't be talking about who is or isn't in Beta especially with a NDA in effect.

1) I didn't mention any specific names
2) Mentioning that "you're in" isn't generally against NDA rules
3) Stop being such a tight-ass know-it-all, especially on this, the king of all "NDA breaking" forums
4) SoE loves the publicity

Yeah, I had been looking for a guild on Antonia Bayle that actively raided and was in need of templars. Bad thing about AB tho, is that templars run rampant and so finding guilds was very difficult. I do miss a lot of people on AB.

I am in a raiding guild now though. We just killed Wuoshi last week and we'll be starting TNT tonight since we now have everything on farm other than that zone.

I am not in beta, have signed no NDA, so they can go get fucked.
