The biggest things I remember from WoW launch:
1) Their item database being swamped from the character screen pulling up your loot to display your character, so they switched to naked characters for a while
2) Awful, awful latency issues.

That said, I was still level 12 in about 2.5 hrs of play!

Stop making it sound like a fucking grad students flash production. This was a tripple A title, produced by people with a great pedigree and deliberatly hyped above and beyond what was delivered.

What you call "nerd rage" is fueled by a complete and utter disregard for their customers. But that said, I'm happy the ever diminishing crowd of Fanboys are still keeping their faith. As long as you keep paying, the game might one day evolve to something, that we non-masochists might find enjoyable.

So, can you like, actually equip items from nightmare yet, or are the stat requirements still higher than possible to achieve?

What's wrong with that sentence is the "nightmare is finishable" part.

Oh that usually works for us too. Just plain zoning out and zoning back in also works. Then again, sometimes I rezone and I can see him, but he can't see me then. :P It's not game breaking, just annoying and worse with each additional party member added.

I haven't played a single MMO (including your precious WoW) that didn't have some issues within the first few months of release.

Does it suck? Yes. Is it new? Not so much. They're patching the game just like everyone else does... /shrug

If you have a problem with the ass state that games are being released in, take it up with the industry itself. You will wear yourself out jumping on every single developer, of every single game, individually.

Which I will reiterate: it was lag and nothing really more. I began on release with one of the most populated servers (KilJaeden) and getting loot from monsters and being randomly disconnected because there were just too many people was the only "real" bug that I saw.

People are whining so much because they are still playing and enjoying the game despite their issues.

Everybody here did the exact same thing in EQ, complained about how bad it was but kept on playing despite the bugs and problems.

Uh no, friends of mine who have bought, and myself have completely shelved the game. We are of the mind, wait 6 months and see. If it is still a pile, uninstall and throw game away.

Seriously, calm down guys, we'll get too tired saying every individual game we play is shit when it is shit.

Besides... we're still playing it, so we must enjoy it, as the only way you can say something sucks to the point of not playing it is to keep playing it.

Remember - every game is actually really fucking horrible and then requires patching to fix it.

If you don't have anything nice to say...

post it all over a message board.

They patched in lower stat feeds, but to be honest, I'm not noticing, since its not retroactive. Only new items are getting lower feeds. And since you know... I'd actually have to play to regear... it doesn't affect me at all.
