What does reading comprehension have to do with it? I only know about Guy Fawkes from watching V for Vendetta. /shrug I feel a bit stupid now for it, but I never had that strong an interest in that part of history. I just attempted an answer because nobody else did. Thanks for the correction though.

the one time only achievements like lvl 10 in 4 hours 20 in 6 being bugged along with other achievements that have just stopped increasing in % even tho you do the correct thing. like not getting credit for sniper kills anymore on my marks.
You don't get stuck in St. Paul's on Nightmare, since you can toggle whether you join the game as Nightmare or not at char select. All you have to do is unselect Nightmare mode, go and beat the game correctly again on Normal and use the Exit Portal, and you'll be fine.

As for the sniper achievement, it's a known bug that one of the sniper rifles isn't counting as a sniper rifle, switch to a different sniper and it'll work.

l'm a level 32 marksman in chapter 2, and the game's balance is starting to hack me off a little.

First, shields are useless. They get taken down faster than a "Re-elect Bush" sign at a civil liberties convention. I might as well armor up like a tank, since I basically spend no time with shields up. Even then full shields give me a single melee hit then OOPS gone.

Second, so much shiny gear. So much shiny gear I can't use! I'm a marksman. You'd think, oh I need lots of accuracy! Uh.. no. I need lots of strength. yeah. For all that punching I do. If you want to wear the decent armor, you've got to spend a ton of points on your strength and stamina. Oh and wisdom. Thats my highest stat right now. Because the quality of your gun doens't matter so much as how many high powered mods you can cram into it. Now in diablo sometimes you needed to monkey with your stats sometimes to equip special pieces of gear. here I can't even equip some green stuff because its so heavy on the stat that my class shouldn't need.

Third, OH GOD STAY AWAY. I feel like I'm a wow hunter with no pet. I thought the idea of a marksman was to kill the mobs before they get to you. Well the damage just isn't keeping up. I'm getting 4 shotted now from full shields by melee mobs.

You can get the "first time" bonus/exceptional loot from Act bosses repeatedly using a certain exploit. Occulus is the highest boss you can do it on till they fix the Exodus bug, so I'm sure lots of people will be doing tons of Nightmare Occulus runs until then.

So it looks like the consensus is that it'd be good to wait a bit before picking this up.

Yea, I am getting bit ticked off at this one problem I have, where I enter a zone and all of a sudden in the middle of fighting mobs, I cant loot, zone out, summon a portal, etc. and the mobs all of a sudden act like I dont exist. My guess is I am probably disconnected from the server, but stuck in the game. So I have to log out and log back in rinse and repeat. Gets old doing this every 30 minutes on top of the memory leak issue where my game crashes every 45 minutes to an hour if I dont get the error mentioned first.

You know, I know this is off topic, but I really have to jump in here.

Even in V for Vendetta, it was the house of lords and he failed to set off the explosives, you massive fucking tool.

I hate to exacerbate this by adding to it, almost as much as I hate defending Galiem, but:

[first lines]
Evey Hammond: [Voiceover] Remember, remember, the Fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and Plot. I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot... But what of the man? I know his name was Guy Fawkes and I know, in 1605, he attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament.

[From V's TV bit]
V: But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand beside me one year from tonight, outside the gates of Parliament, and together we shall give them a fifth of November that shall never, ever be forgot.

Guy Fawkes - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Guy Fawkes (13 April 1570 – 31 January 1606) was a member of a group of English Roman Catholics which planned to carry out the Gunpowder Plot, an attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament and kill King James I of England, to destroy Protestant rule by killing the Protestant aristocracy, on 5 November 1605.

The funniest part is gavinrad apparently doesn't realize the house of lords is in the house of parliament, which was what they said in V for Vendetta. House of Lords was never mentioned once.

Okay let me explain it and spare me the wikipedia quotes. In 1605 when the gunpowder treason plot was enacted, there was no parlament building, like the one you see in V. (great movie btw). The majestic building with the Big Ben clock, the spires and the house of parlament wasn't constructed until the victorian age several hundred years later.

What Guy Fawkes tried to blow up was a relatively small isolated two story building called the House of Lords. Today that place is basically a parking lot by the Thames. I guess if you really want to stretch it, you can call the House of Lords a parlament of sort, but that was hardly a fitting label in 1605. If you're interested in the history behind the plot you should watch the ITN documentary "The gunpowder plot - exploding the legend" It's available on youtube in 8 parts. Here's the best bit, where they blow up a mock copy of the House of Lords with one metric ton of gunpowder.

Anyways - Any engineers out there found any particular ways to make your drone stop being utterly retarded? That damn thing just loves to shoot walls.
