Guy Fawkes set off an explosion in the parliament building, essentially what would today be considered terrorism.

edit: They TOOK OUT crafters? Holy crap! Okay, fixing leaks and bugs, tweaking content, nerfing stuff... I can understand such things happening after release. But completely removing things? It's like they spent a week developing before release. Don't these people have any design documents, plans, or any idea at all how they want their game to work? Or are they forgoing design in favor of trial and error?

They didn't remove crafters - they removed Uniques from crafters. Which seems to have fucked all Uniques.

Jesus your reading comprehension is amazing. No he did not set off an explosion. That was the plan, but the conspiracy was leaked and he was arrested on the 5th of november. It wasn't the parlament building either, it was the house of lords. And they did not take out crafters, they just removed the ability to make unique weapons from the secondary vendors. (which makes sense)

Disclaimer: I really like this game

Just wanted a list of things still wrong with this game, then come to an estimation how much more time they should have spent working on these things before release

Known Bugs (no idea if they are fixed since patch)

1.) Memory leak - Something to do with your graphical settings, setting things from "very high" to "high" possibly fixes this, but some claim it doesnt fix everyone. This is a pretty bad one since depending on how much RAM you have can cause you to crash fairly quickly.

2.) Frequent reports of lock ups in the game - I can attest to this, the game will just inexplicable freeze, and I have to either to a hard boot, or hit ctl+alt+del to get to task manager to kill the process. I suppose it could be related to the memory leak, but I have had a freeze pretty close after I started up HGL.

3.) Items just dissappearing from your inventory - Seems to be affecting engineers moreso than others, but there are reports of blademasters and marksman experiencing this problem as well. This is pretty bad, especially when a game is built around loot.

4.) Items getting stuck in inventory - another pretty bad problem due to the premium that is placed on inventory space.

5.) Getting stuck in Act 4 - I cant really begin to fathom how this bug got past release. Could you imagine a bug in WoW that wouldnt allow you to level past 20? I figure they would hotfix this with a quickness.

6.) DX10 users getting absurd amount of lag - I have seen reports on this, but I dont know the semantics on it. Also could be related to the memory leak.

7.) (New Bug) 5 star items spawning without mods - This is a gem, as the patch introed this to the gamers. As if there wasnt enough broken, they give us this treat

8.) Subscriptions being charged per day instead of per week - This is a good way to kill a game. If there is one thing you dont fucking rush, is a program that actually takes money out of someone's account. I garauntee you if it happened to me I would have report them to Wells Fargo/Visa for fradulent withdrawals. Thats like signing a credit card reciept for X amount, and then being charge Y amount. They consider that a pretty serious offense. Just dumbfounding.

9.) Set Items not even being in the game - need I say more, not ready for release

10.) Elite being completely untuned, risk vs. reward not even close to where it should be. Seems rushed, like "suprise" it wasnt ready. Go figure.

11.) Sound issues, voices not being heard, crackling noises

I know there is more, but jesus that is pretty much core gameplay issues that are either incomplete or completely broken. Let us not even get into how poorly designed the chat interface and UI is. I just see this shit, and no matter how much I enjoy the game itself, I feel like I made the wrong statement by buying this game. It basically reinforces developers releasing garbage and the dumbass consumers like myself will spend the money for it.

I know. That's why I said "terrorism"

What I don't see is how this is related to FSS charging 10 bucks per day since release for elite.

I don't think you can like it enough to pay $70 for a week for it

Uniques appearing without stats has been a random thing that's been ongoing since before they removed uniques from crafters. I've never had a unique appear without stats, some people have only gotten uniques without stats.

I'm sad about them removing uniques from crafters though... got so many from farming them. Least there are still other broken ways to farm uniques.

On the bright side, it looks like people who paid for founders will be breaking even sooner than expected!

Thats the huge quandary. I do like the game. On the other hand I'm unbelievably pissed that the game has so many massive bugs that would instantly tank another game.

I'm kind of glad reviewers I've read are bashing the game. It deserves it.

And what makes me the saddest probably is the massive gap between "Very High" settings and "High". Very high is like, goregous graphics, on par with something you'd see in a cutting edge FPS. "High" is muddy ugly textures that are pretty embarressing in a game. There's no middle ground. Either incredibly ugly, or beautiful. And there's no middle ground in performance either. Unplayable or playable. Its like calling a nintendo 64 game "high" graphics quality.

since they dont have patch notes for the last 2 days patches its hard to know whats fixed. theres a few more worth mentioning tho.

the fiery maps they added are causing even good comps to crawl(including mine). which is wonderful b/c they are rare enough to not warrant turning graphics down to nothing, but if you do stumble onto one theres no simple solution. if you change graphics you have to restart for it to take effect and chances are the map wont be the fiery version when you come back thus another restart to change graphics back.....$10 a month to be lagged to death, thanks!

check this stuck bug out... Hellgate: London Forums
if you go back to the station instead of using the "Exit game" portal after beating normal you get stuck in st pauls station nightmare

the one time only achievements like lvl 10 in 4 hours 20 in 6 being bugged along with other achievements that have just stopped increasing in % even tho you do the correct thing. like not getting credit for sniper kills anymore on my marks.
