i just cant get past that. i understand they need things people want to pay for in the p2p perks but i dont want to have to pay for the game everytime i get the urge to molest HGL's version of meph a few times b/c all my gear is on Char slot #4-24. or its on char in slot #2, my mule, but its in his stash section that can no longer be accessed.

still not sure how they will handle it. once you pay you always have to? how do you chop off a characters stash from when he's paid, used the stash and now doesnt pay? which of the 24 char slots get left off when your not paying?

Pretty much. I honestly don't mind paying for actual, monthly content supplementary to the boxed retail version.

That? That's not content. That's laziness. That's modifying a variable in one line of code.

In EQ2 station pass they give you more character slots, so if you were to cancel station pass and go to a normal subscription, how do they handle characters 'past the limit'?

My guess is the first 3 characters you make will be playable, and the others will be "greyed out"...

"demo" should have been putting the MP beta on FP.

instead they probably just turned away a few thousand potential customers.

I find it to be extortion rather than a perk. Its the crap like this that is keeping me from buying the game much less paying a monthly.

Not to beat a soon-to-be-dead horse, but they couldn't put the Multiplayer version of HGL up on Fileplanet. It is far from stable enough to be used as a demo.

Oh and like I said before, that "2-4 weeks ahead" is some serious weak shit and the same bullshit we heard the entire time in beta. I read "2-4 weeks ahead" in their post and I hear "We will have these features and a stable game 1-2 months after release."

Anyway, enough about HGL. I'm just going to leave it as "Buyer Beware" if you are thinking about this game.

Not in my opinon. I wasn't saying it was right what they were doing, I was just saying that was reasoning behind only allowing the Single Player portion of the game to used as the demo, and not the Multiplayer.

The amount of crashing with the x64 dx10 version is unacceptable. I have literally crashed in 6 different ways. Maybe it's Nvidia's drivers, but someone needs to fix that shit pronto.

It also crashes regularly with the x86 dx9 version...
