has it been said how they will handle it if you stop paying the fee? do you simply lose access to the additional slots, additional storage, the use of p2p items, and your created guild?

They haven't gone in such specifics, but yea that's what they said, you lose everything you had privileges with. That means imo that your char slots/storage become unusable(like greyed out), but don't think they'll delete, and you can't modify anything in your guild anymore, such as kicking/inviting people. Unless they want to be real assholes tho, everything you got/made while elite should stay until next time you subscribe.

Not in the beta (yet) but I saw a post over on hellgateguru.com supposedly has the latest note from the beta server that the beta does start tomorrow. Not going paste the text of the message here incase it is breaking the rumored NDA. If it is i'm sure these guys will delete it at their end:

Some info from hellgateguru.com that may interest those of you waiting in anticipation of this game... Also as I play I will try and write up some mini reviews so that everyone who is unsure if it is good enough to pay a fee for can get an idea of it truly brings back the addiction!

Cannot get any thing on this game on the UK stores most of the online sites don't even have it listed and others have it for launch on 2008, amazon is the only one i found having it for the 30th of october, but no pre order beta things.

Yeah, really annoying. I've ordered from Gamestop; with the exchange rate the CE is only 40 quid, including shipping and (possible) tax.

The server system is going to be the same as Diablo ie Realms. there will be EU and US realms, but you will be able to create accounts on both, wherever you buy the game.

My understanding is that box presells should be in stores by next tuesday (25th) with beta codes inside them, usually these sell for $5 and are a $5 coupon off the retail box.

If you order online most places won't actually ship the boxes until Oct 30th, meaning you probably won't get it until Nov 2nd or later. The retail boxes will be in actual stores on Oct 30th, and I guess they flip the online switch Oct 31st.

Either way getting into beta shouldn't be too hard to see if you like the game or not and if it plays ok on your PC.

I got the beta code today from GameStop (online pre-order), but the code was rejected when I tried to setup a beta account, the code was already in use. So, Flagship or GameStop are having issues. Anyone else get their code today and setup their beta account?

I just got mine as well, looks like their website is swamped.

Hoping this isn't to much NDA breakage but I blanked out most of what could be daming in any way..

Here's some info for those of you waiting I managed to remote into my computer at home and get the process started..

My code failed as well. Can you give a link so I can start downloading the client at least?

Tip: Your account name must be different than your forum name. That seems to be tripping a lot of people up.

so since i ordered in store i have to pick it up the 24th? fantastic. the fucking day before the halo 3 launch. They should of done whatever was humanly possible to get the pre-order boxes on the 17th because everyone and their mother will be probably be busy with Halo 3 :\

Your Beta account will carry over into the retail game, so choose your name wisely. To be clear, this is your game account name, and not your in-game characters' name.......Interesting.
