That is obviously a last ditch effort on your part if you can't get your password back and can't cancel it any other way.

Strongly recommend against this. SquareEnix handles billing...strangely. They consider a chargeback to mean that they have sent you a valid bill and that you just never paid it.

Thanks for the answers... looks like I have to phone them anyway. Their system is goddamn stupid. If you ask a question to the customer service by email, they'll send you the answer on your playonline mail... and what if I lost my fucking password...?

Here's a silly question: How does one exactly cancel a FFXI subscription? I can't seem to find any option in the PlayOnline launcher doodad. I was able to see that I did in fact pay 14.20 for last month when I forgot that I had entered my info at the start of the 30 day free trial, but I had no such luck re: stopping payment.

I also found this news story that seems pretty impressive. Banning nearly 11k accounts and taking out 3.1 billion gil? That has to make some waves, doesn't it?

On a side note my LS beat Odin last night. Defiantly the most fun I've had in months. Too bad you can't enter the fight but a min every ~4 weeks... have to win 9x events of which you can only enter every 3 days.

Protip: To cancel FFXI you cancel your POL ID's.

By POL ID's, do you mean FFXI Content ID? That's the only cancel-able item I see anywhere in the PlayOnline browser.

Is there a Windower plugin that puts little dots or something by someone's name when they're afflicted by a certain debuff?

One of our SMN/WHM's biggest gripes about the game is there's no real way to tell who is afflicted by status debuffs other than when it's used (and even then, sometimes it turns immediately after starting to use it, making it look like it's used on another person). I guess she's too used to WoW's ease of removing status effects, but it would be cool if there was a plugin like that.

lulz, every leader of a top tier FFXI endgame is guilty of either using them or condoning their use. Stan was the only one with the balls to come out and outright admit to their use. Although, Excellence's use of them cut down drasticly after a good chunk of the linkshell was banned a while back.

If it means anything Stanislav is deleved in that picture because I R1ed him a few times >.>/

I was once very hardcore into FFXI, around the CoP/sea/lolAV release was my height and I remember when it was confirmed about him how devistating it was. Such a prominent figure on BlueGarter forums too.

m.body is trash. Ares = win.

And it's more like he deleved and could not use his Aegis & Excalibur anymore. Stanislav is one of the if not the most well geared Paladin gamewide. I think he has 2 or 3 pieces of gear to go until his set is "perfect" in terms of optimization. We used to have a special "award" for him everyime he deleved on our old point page. The Level 74 Trophy....
