| A Bearded Gnome | After reading this thread for awhile, I'm going to go buy the game again and give it a go. It's time to give FF another try!

| I really want to give this game a go again but I worry about the grind I recall feeling last time. Then I can't decide if I want to go the pld/war route again or try a brd/whm support type class. |

| There is definately a grind associated with FFXI. When you are in good company though, it makes it better. FFXI really weeds out the WoW kiddycakes because the game is so in depth and hard to play, it takes a older audience to play the game so when you are playing with mature people who really want to help it doesnt get any better. |

I did run into a 36 thief that didn't know how to sneak attack with her weaponskill... A 5 min explanation on how to play her class helped a lot. Turned her 30 damage Viper Bite's into 200+. The sad thing is, this girl had a 75 white mage... And while I understand melee's play differently than casters... You should know the game a little better than that.

+13 Internets | Can we get a list of names of people who are playing again, as I know most of your board names aren't your ingame names. About the only name I know is Nhilist but I haven't seen him on yet. Is there a reply button/command? kind of a pain to type /tell whoever every time =P Obsequey on Fenrir, level 10 monk.

+58 Internets | Daft - 12 warrior atm (Fenrir) The noobie thief has me worried of what I will be later on haha. Anyway I grouped with an asian guy yesterday and it was quite nice to just duo the sheep. Was nice being able to use an ability that didn't require 100TP too (provoke). No idea how to find out if a mob is KOS, but I saw this mean looking sheep heading for us while we were resting and just had enough time to type "Run Away!" in the translator before jetting myself, he died in 2-3 hits.. though I could've looked like an idiot if it was non-kos. Hardest part of grouping with him was understanding that he indeed wanted to group, his initial tell was something along the lines of "Hello There! 2/2 Bastok? You need?". I was so confused initially Also wishing I had rolled a Taru, the animations on those guys is amazing |
