+5 Fire Resistance.

Don't worry about resistances. They really have to be stacked to hell and back to be effective and will not come into play expect for specfic endgame encounters if your tanks are pussies.

EX: Faggots who wear Fire Resistance gear when fighting Tiamat.

So if MNKs are wanted in parties then I am cool with taking it to 75. If not, then I should definately figure out something else. I want to get parties, thats the best part of this game.
When I exped Paladin, I grouped with a few monks. They were pretty fucking strong. I don't know how popular they are now, since nobody apparently exps in the same spots I leveled in. Back in the day when you exped in upper 70s in King Ranps Tomb, it was near fucking impossibly getting aggro back from a Monk when we fought skeletons.

I think if you enjoy MNK you will be happy with it. Especially if Vinen says they do well in Merit parties.

Also Vinen, incase you missed it in my book of a post about DRG. What do you think about them now in endgame? I'm interested as I would like to do some HNM stuff later on down the road I think. WoW is great and all, but it has really become dull recently.

DRG GTFO.

In all seriousness, I don't like them unless they are incredibly well geared. This is 100% lingering bias.

The diagram you're referring to is one of the popular skillchain charts. If you find it slightly intimidating, you should try the skillchain calculator that was linked earlier.

So where do i go to find gorups around Windhurst after lvl 10? I tried to make my way over to Bastok to be by Vithe but just ended up dying repeatedly and losing levels and now he has blown past me anyways (how wide can a groups level spread be?) so I need to find where groups form after lvl 10 around windhurst. Soloing is getting painful i seem to die every hour or so to an unexpected mob and lose all the exp i gained the previous hour.

I am lvl 10 BLM Taru.

Don't fight many skeletons later on though, dragoons wreck colibri!

I did MNK to 9, WAR/mnk until 18, THF/war until 37, leveling BLU now, almost 54. When I get to 70 I'll probably level NIN to 37 to sub to BLU.

You can try seeking, but you may not find anything local. The really popular place from 10-20 is in Valkurm Dunes. The best thing may be to get someone on Fenrir to help you get to the Bastok area, as it's quite a hike to get from Windurst to Valkurm.

It's not that bad and it's not really that risky.

East Saru -> Tahrongi -> Bubu Penn -> Mharua -> BOAT (Stay Where it places you in the ship, OUTSIDE IS UNSAFE) -> Selbina (I would bind here) -> Valkurm

If you need to return to Windurst use the outpost to warp back (Talk to one of the Guards). You will need to pay some fee (sub 1k). To return, you will need to run back; use a scroll of warp or find some BLM(40+) to Warp 2 you (also known as D2). This is of course, assumming you bound in Selbina.

Bubu Penn is the equiv of Valkurm for the Quon Continent. Nobody uses it.

It's not that bad, I'll agree. I made the trip myself as I started a Mithra in Windurst this time around. But for someone not familiar with the game or what aggros, it's probably a more difficult trip.

Don't get discouraged though Bongk. What killed you? Did you make it to Buburismu?

Go to FFXI-maps.com and figure out how to get to Mhaura from Windurst, take the ship from there to Selbina. Zone out to Valkurm Dunes, thats where everyone parties from 10-20, of course If I was leveling blm i'd just solo worms until 25 and totally skip Valkurm and Qufim - its a bit more advanced to do that though.

20-25 you go to Jeuno, get your chocobo quest done, and level in Qufim. Then at 25 you do your Kazham airship pass quest.

25-31ish Yhuntunga/Yhoator jungle

32-35ish (I was here until 37)

After that it opens up alot, Crawler's Nest is pretty popular until mid 40s, then you have Quicksand Caves

I will try it again after work and see what happens. Am i going to be gimped fighting in other areas? Can I still get signets and collect crystals and get conquest points and stuff?

Also, what is the max level spread for groups to exp together?

I have seen people mention these worms a few times now. Is it a viable way to exp? what con can I fight them at and what tactic to use? what zone are they on, etc. Any info to help would be great!
