| I hope they have friendly fire. (or at least one server that has it) So many hilarous moments in the singleplayer games due to FF.

| Someone should make a Gamma World mmo, instead. How the hell are they going to try to sync together the worlds of the original Fallouts, whatever abomination Bethesda unleashes, and this game from what will essentially be a brand new team? And provide a world with the near unlimited growth potential that an mmo needs? Vault 667. They dug too deep, and hell was unleashed. An expansion for Fallout mmo, circa 2012. |

+17 Internets | Fallout is a perfect setting for a future MMO. It is a setting where both low-tech and high-tech logically exist simultaneously. There is a reason why game-breaking or hard to implement real-world stuff like aircraft, mass-transit, massive crowds of people, etc. do not exist in the future. If the developers of this game start mentioning raids, crafting, or PVE-only, it will then be safe to write this off as a complete waste. Until then, I guess there is a small sliver of hope it will be an MMO true to the spirit of the original Fallout . ![]() |

+71 Internets | As long as you can accidently blown your teammates in half with burst fire gone wrong I'm all there. What made Fallout so great was the likelyhood of dying to bad luck at any moment. When my char got sawed in half because I walked into a chaingun wielding mutant point blank I could only laugh. Speaking of, the success of the Bethesda Fallout rests in the death animations. Is it really Fallout without turning people into molten blobs or piles of limbs? |

+16 Internets | Well, we've seen a pretty solid screenshot of an exploding upper body on a super mutant so it looks good so far. If there's anything I'm sad about with F3, it's that you probably won't get to be a porn star again. In other news, Interplay is dreaming. It's one guy now, Herve Caen and he's a crackpot. If there's ever a Fallout mmo, it won't be from Interplay. I don't see how he's going to raise millions when the only thing he's demonstrated is his ability to run a company into the dirt. |

| I remember that Cyborg mutant mini-gun sherif or something. Basically that dude was too strong for me to take on so i would smuggle dynamite into his pants and blow him up that way. I want to EXPLOIT like that in the new game whatever it is. |

I'm sure I would only be one of many to say "What? Of course it was an accident! Why would I shoot all of you over there on purpose? You all know how inaccurate this gun is!" ![]() ROFL @ Twobit's sig. I missed that somehow.

+3 Internets | I'm thinking this will be one of those MMOs that pushes early because of lack of funds, and then bombs. Maybe SOE could pull a Vanguard on Fallout if/when that happens and build it up to be what it's supposed to be. Fallout deserves to be made the right way, here is hoping Herve Caen doesn't run it into the ground. Interplay's #1 reason for creating this MMO is to go back to making money rather than a passion for making the next big game. This, in my mind, calls for nothing but disaster. | I read the SEC filing -- no evidence that Interplay has found financing for F-MMO. AFAIK, this is pure unadultered vaporware.

Just remember it could always be worse. Derek Smart has stopped work on the Battlecruiser series now and afaik he doesn't have anything planned or announced yet (PC Gamer, Sep, p72). Just pray he doesn't get involved now that he has opened up time in his schedule. Imagine if instead of Fallout 3, we had Fallout 3000.
