If they are going to blow their horn about an increased drop rate then they need to actually fucking increase the drop rate. This is nothing more then the standard SOE bait and switch we have seen since the days of EQ1. New zone / dungeon / expansion drops are like rain, falling out of your ass, unreal, so good, so often, so amazing, you just HAVE to tell your friends.

Fast forward 2 weeks and in goes the stealth nerf (with no patch notes I might add) to cut the drop rate to .0001 % of what it was. The hook is in, it's sunk, and they reel you and your friends in.

I don't mind the tactic, its sound and well thought out, I just mind that they cut the rate to the bone. They have the data to back this observation up, some dev is staring at an excel spreadsheet that shows how fucking shitty the drop rate is, I guarantee it. They are in a pickle though. As the drop rate in game goes down, the sales (for real world money) of cards through the store goes UP. If they up the rate in game, I imagine the sales would go down.

Why would they fuck with the money train ?

I got 6 loot cards the last week of beta, and despite buying booster packs weekly, I have not gotten a single one since the game went live. Additionally, I play 3 characters (all actively) and none of them has seen a single LoN drop since the game went live, not soloing, not grouping, not raiding.

Fuck you assholes.

Show proof or otherwise you are talking out of your ass. Oh you didnt get any cards during a raid OH GOD I GUESS THAT MEANS THEY DONT DROP amirite . By the way since this new promotion the amount of starter packs for sale in bazaar have doubled on FV, but I guess you know what you're talking about . Oh one dropped in Anguish the other day too but I'm sure that was a fluke or something.

Starter packs are absolute shit. There's a reason they've doubled: No one is buying them. The cheese is in the Booster Packs. Starter packs contain the same cards for each Archetype, no deviation. This is great for sealed-deck tournaments, no so great for beefing up your regular decks. Hence, the cards are saturating the market, making them worthless.

Who gives a shit what they are, the point is that they are dropping. I saw booster packs selling for 50k in bazaar today with nobody buying right away so either
a) nobody gives a shit about the card game (most likely)
or
b) they're dropping enough that the price has gone down significantly.

By the way I sold my Starter deck for 100k in 15 min so obviously people still want them. Just because YOU dont doesnt mean they are shit.

Thought I'd mention this if it wasn't known.

Scenarios will give you the card reward 4 times for each archtype deck you've used to beat it. So if you have enough generics you could make 4 archtype decks and beat the scenarios to get your maximum amount of freebies.

Yep. Just like I was talking out my ass on Vanguard. I have no reason to exaggerate my claims when the reality is "that bad" already. Grats on your drops and being part of the .000001 % of the player base who has gotten one.

I should clarify that my statement regarding no drops of LoN stuff is not my character(s) winning the item, that is dropping period. Nothing drops.

I started playing a few days ago just on a lark. So far it's pretty fun and interesting. I have never ever played a card game and would have never really considered it if it had not been connected to EQ. Dunno if it has long term stuff with me tho.

If you have no desire for the EQ/EQ2 loot cards collecting a good set of cards is trivial.

I started out with a starter deck and 11 boosters. In that 11 boosters I got a snow leopard mount that I traded for 50 boosters. In that 50 boosters I got another snow leopard mount and traded it for 50 boosters.

You get a loot card about 1 in 10 decks. Some of those are the crappy ones like weapon graphic changes, potions etc...

In total from my 11 decks (165 cards) I keep trading away my loot cards for unopened boosters and ended the night (about 2 hours) with approximately 3,200 cards - 230 rares and 650 uncommons.

I like the idea of the game tie in - but I think in the long run it will hurt those that actually play the game. Of course most won't care because they get the loot, and SOE gets the money for those packs.

Just a quick glance in the bazaar the last 2 days booster packs have been going for between 300,000 and 1million PP. Of course they probably aren't selling but that's what they have them listed at. I do play on the same server as the person above (FV) who said someone auctioned one for 50k and I saw that 2 days ago.

If you have the free client and go to trades - look under "their deck" at the top and it will show every card in the game including loot.

Apparently they are in EQ. In EQ2? I've not seen one. In fact, I only know of 2 that have dropped since it went live.

I spent around 4 days doing writ quests. Killing hundreds and hundreds of mobs. Nothing. Either I'm the most unlucky person ever or the drop rate in EQ2 is a wee bit on the low side.
