i'm still waiting for blizzard to implement their TCG into WoW....Why this hasn't happened yet I have no idea. It's like they don't want more money.

They'll need to closely tune the in-game items, but it could be pretty cool.

I'm a little late chiming in, but I honestly don't understand how anyone could find a real argument against the cards being an alternative means of advancement( reward tuning aside).

I mean seriously, how could you go wrong "borrowing" from Square?

Well, I just see it as something to do besides grind and quest all the time. Back when Vanguard was in development, I suggested they add stuff like Chess, Checkers, Go, etc.

Other ways to interact with people, you know?

Little things like that would make MMOs 10 times better than they are. Instead, the only interactivity in these games is grouping and shit. Other stuff would be awesome.

Aren't there like multiple sites online where you can play cards/chess, for free even?? Hell those sites even have tournaments for money and shit. Why would I pay to play a fantasy online game, just to play chess??

Yep, sometimes you just want to hang out in these games with friends and not grind. I've always thought it'd be cool if they just had poker where you could gamble with other players for plat, but since the plat has real-world value I spose that might never be allowed. Although technically, EQ already has the casino where you can gamble your game money away.

I don't understand why anybody that wouldn't want to play sidegames should care though. If you don't want to play em, you don't have to? Its like the morons in EQ that whine whenever they hear mention of PvP. Like if any type of PvP were added to their blue servers (ie battlegrounds) they would quit in a second, even though they would in no way be forced to participate in it.
