| these gamespy vids are interesting, only downloaded the first one and hmm I am not sure if I like what I saw there maybe casters just suck and melee is the way to gothe "mobs" seem like flickering 2d sprites and lack animations its getting worse the more often I look at it, need some more opinions (the spell effects suck too) Last edited by Clericnon2boxed : 07-03-2007 at 03:53 PM. |

| Animation is the biggest game breaker for me and a big turn off. I am still looking forward to this game but i really hope they will revamp some of these animations. It boggles the mind to think some Devs can look at those kind of animations and think "they are fine". Does anyone know if these are old videos? Has any devs mention anything about the animations? |

| Seems like the more realistic they are, the more people dislike them. AoC uses motion capture, it's the real deal. Maybe it's an effect of the uncanny valley?

+2 Internets | I can answer the question regarding the lack of animations. I was at the hands on Friday and Yorgen Tharaldsen mentioned that there was a bug with NPC facing that sometimes caused them to look away and not animate attacks. We'll have an article and video up on Curse tomorrow. |
