Too be fair I completely admit that not all classes are like that. I found the priest had much more flavor then the pally when it came to raiding. Renew, shield, gheal, down ranked heal (I did priest pre tbc) all gave you options. I also found my warlock very enjoyable but I only used him for pvp. I have not played all classes to end game but I have done enough to know some classes are excellent... some need -serious- work to raise that "fun meter" a bit.

Dont make the mistake of thinking I am defending WAR, because I am not. If WAR is as spammy as the guy wrote then I fully agree that its a complete fucking joke and I doubt ill play it longer then a week if at all. No one is saying WoW is perfect but the people saying it's okay for WAR to do it because WoW does are retarded. Some classes in some situations do spam one button but that is not the entirety of the game... which is sounds like is the case in WAR.

People should be taking steps forward, not back and then trying to justify it with hyperbole about WoW.

And maybe we read different articles. The one I read was written by someone who sounded like they really wanted to jump ship from WoW to WAR but found no reason to. When somoene would rather farm Primal Life than play a hotly anticipated game's beta then that says something. Sounds quite familiar with another recent flop of a release.

Well obviously, it's an exxageration when I say every class is a holy pally. I've played a holy pally too, and while I liked the class in pvp(it was pre 2.1 nerfs though), and I liked how I was one of the first healer in our guild to reliably be able to run any heroics because of my insane mana efficiency, it was fucking boring as shit.

However, the combat on every class I've tried feels very dull. I've tried 2 casters, and they were the least shitty class, cause they were killing stuff fast. I tried 2 melee dps, they were insanely boring, and also pretty bad all around. I tried 2 tanks, and well, it was really a pain to play, mainly because they played like melee dps, only much slower.

Now, I haven't leveled to cap. You might say, yea so you've not seen everything. The point however, is I did not WANT to level to cap. It's not because I can't, but because I don't want to. Instead, since I got in war beta, few months passed and I actually started playing wow again, leveled a new char to 70, raided with him some, leveled an alt to 70, raided some more and now I'm just raiding 3days a week on T6 content, and the rest of the time I do ZA/kara, or simply don't play. I never feel like logging on war to level my char or something. When they change phases and stuff, I usually update, log in for a few hours to check out the classes etc, and log back out because it's still the same game.

Heh, from what I have heard from people is that WAR may not be the "next best thing" but its still leaps and bound greater then Vanguard ever will be. I have not played WAR but I can see that because I am not sure any game will ever match the epic failure that was Vanguard.

It's not another Vanguard. By the way, one thing that is clear from the article that was linked, is that the person who wrote it had very high expectations, and the game failed to match his own hype... Anyone who has played MMORPGs for 10+ years by now should know what can and cannot be done, read between the lines, read through the marketing hype to see the reality of what the marketers are saying, and spare oneself another self-inflicted disappointment. I usually have fun with most of the stuff I try since I don't expect it to be the second coming...

The old and mature line was tired during Vanguard and it hasn't gotten any rest. You aren't a special snowflake and you aren't better than anyone else just because you don't spill the beans on the suck. Frankly people who feel strongly enough about something to break an NDA in an effort to warn people or perhaps get Mythic to wake up are better than those who quietly accept it and hope shit gets magically better.
