| I hope to fucking hell it doesnt mimic wow's armor setup. I rather have the old EQ loot than everyone do X dungeon for X tier item and the result is everyone looking like one another. Last thing i want is to raid and look like every other bard on server that has been in the zone. Armor sets are nice but leaves no real room for individuality, and not like theirs specs to use either so it would just be like an army of Agent Smiths by class... |

+2 Internets | Ancient Port Warehouse has been there since the game released iirc. I did some leveling there in the high 40's but only in the outdoor areas. It was a decent spot to duo with my Psionicist friend since you could charm the .... pirates... or whatever the humans there are. I also remember a ginormous 6 dot named blue asian crab there I was excited at the time to find. |

| ![]() They could literally turn it around for Vanguard!

I highly doubt Vanguard can or will ever recover.

EQ did have set items, but they were rare enough that most people only had a few pieces, and they were okay with it, they didn't "need" to have the whole set, because there were many other options. I remember looking at Barbarian Warriors who had 5-6 different colors on in Velious. They represented being badass, because you knew they had beyond ToV armor and had named loot. You would see a couple pieces of dark blue ToV loot, but overall it was a mix, and you could name the items they were wearing. But it didn't mean everyone looked like eachother, because there was such a huge variety.

If I were to put real money on it, I would bet they will not make it. It is really a shame. Last edited by I'm Rich Bitch; 06-19-2007 at 11:53 PM..

+2 Internets | I dont doubt it *could* be a great game. In theory you can pretty much change everything in the game, which they basically did mid development heh. I dont know if it ever will be great, and even if it is I dont know that it would attract a lot of people. |

| Did any of you even play EQ2 at release? I did, stuck it out for a few months too. It was such a shitpile, and so much worse than Vanguard is now that there is no comparison. The variety of content for any given level was pathetic, tons of quests were broken, tons of skills downright didn't work, loot was meaningless, performance was horrid, and lots of the upper level content was broken. Hmm... sounds a bit like Vanguard, but at least Vanguard launched with a bigger world with more premiere dungeons and variety. That, and loot actually means something. EQ2 has had what, nearly 3 years of updates and expansions?
