So it seems to have been majorly missed that a freaking LEGO MMO is coming in 2008 :
Lego Universe

it's developed by NetDevil and some LEGO group.

Not much info on their website but I can at least quote their announcement phrase "LEGO Universe brings the construction and creativity inherent to LEGO into a new, safe and fun virtual experience."

it's a genius idea. save millions on graphic development due to the reality of everything needing to look like blocks from the nintendo era. I dont recall as many moving parts on a lego person though, so equipment upgrades seem interesting.

Equipment upgrades can be the very arms, legs, hands, and heads! think of it man! you start with fugly yellow C shaped hands. run some quests for a sweet set of black ones.

I'm hoping its a real MMO with new equipment and fun things like that. It would be majorly full of win if they do that. At least the concept art looks awesome.

That's kinda what I'm guessing. SL is already kinda like legos, the way they handle fabs or whatever the building blocks of all the stuff are called.

i used to have some lego computer game.. lego island or something and it was so freakin fun i played the shit out of it...

got to customize jet skis and ambulances and that kind of shit and run around and do missions.. and then some evil guy escaped from prison so i got to chase him down in the police suv i designed

assuming a good portion of the world is player run i could see this being very fun. it will be interesting to see how this turns out.
