Good way of promoting your MMO?

Thanks for this. I picked up Guild Wars the other day. It's pretty fun so far but I'm a little anxious to jump into the pvp.

Yeah the lack of jumping is a little annoying, but it's cool seeing the diversity of the builds at high level of play. Much better than WoW's "You are a pally? You are 41/20/0 or gtfo" style.

Anybody else play? I'm not sure I want to go in solo, and I'm especially not sure of spending $90 on expansions to play solo and find out I don't like it.

It's the only mmo i've played relatively often for the last few years. I love the multi build setup.

I haven't had time to mess with it in the last few months though (mostly due to eve). I'm still working on nightfall

Lack of jump really makes the game unenjoyable SP, areas are way too linear and a bitch to explore.

But not to bitch about GW, it's nice to see game tournies getting more exposure US. What station was it on? G4?

heh, i know everyone has their own opinions and crap, but the lack of jumping being a big factor really boggles my mind. It's an illusion of freedom zones in WoW, eq, etc are crafted in such a way to either let you go some where, or not let you go some where. exactly like in GW (though admittedly, the GW zone designers do some times build things a little on the tight side). CoH is the only mmo i've played where jumping and moving around was actualy meaningful.

It's not just the lack of jumping, its the fact that players follow mob pathing. There is no illusion of freedom at all, its unnaturally restrictive.

You can WASD like any other mmo. though i frequently just lazy up and hit space bar on my target to get to them. Though when warrior-ing, it's very important to body block mobs, and that takes a good bit of manual placement.

How do you play this game? I don't see any combat controls on the UI in Video #1. Granted, that's all I watched because those are really long. What am I missing? It seems unlike anything I've seen or maybe I just can't see it on my screen?

you use asdf to move, map a key to target ,tab through targets. hit space to auto attack (and to move within range of your auto attack. be it ranged, wand, or melee). hit 1-8 (or click the buttons) to activate the skills. You can click to move like WoW. f1-4 change weapons.
