| Well to be fair, the EQ2 you are playing today is not that old, especially if you're starting in Neriak or Greater Faydark. They've rebuilt a large, large portion of the game since release. It still strikes me a bit odd whenever I roll a new char and see a list of classes I want to play as opposed to the general "Fighter/Scout/Mage/Healer" |

+29 Internets | Open Recruitment to the Mistwalkers is closed. The response to EQ2 with Neriak and Kunark has been amazing. With 210 unique accounts, we have more than enough players to build from. As Kunark approaches, we will revisit our recruitment policy and reopen it to needed classes. Until then, please visit our boards at Mistwalkers and post about recruitment.

| It's too bad they can't just remove qeynos/freeport and about 10 other old zones for that matter. It could be a deterrent to potential new subscribers thinking that it's the best eq2 has to offer. I HATED EQ2 when it was released, but I really love it now. I recently levelled a Ranger up to around 63 and had a lot of fun on the way, definitely no problems forming groups, even in the middle of the night (euro players ftw), at least on Permafrost. The quality of Echoes of Faydwer far surpasses anything else the game has to offer, but Desert of Flames and Kingdom of Sky are worth checking out for some easy AAs and a few cool dungeons. You'll probably want to pop over to vanilla EQ2 for some dungeon runs (Runnyeye, Obelisk, CT, Soluseks Eye, and the like) but aside from that I'd avoid vanilla EQ2 altogether were it not a source of extra AAs. You're just missing out on far superior zones. |
