+19 Internets | My 1 minute impression based on research of Youtube and Wiki. Game is in closed beta and Quote:
The gist of what I saw was if Gladiator and the Luclin engine were caught fucking in a korean pig trough and rolled around in some outlandish hollywood combat animations, which SOE scooped into boxes to distribute. Only thing it seems to have going for it is greek mythology. On the bright side they have helmets (no cloaks) and it appears they've been in testing for a while, so one can either assume they're actually fixing things or they're going the 1QA route. | |

| While the classes, abilities and setting seems a bit worn to me the ability to find and level up your own party sounds kinda cool. Because, let's be honest: it's not like every other MMO out there hasn't taken whole chunks from the Greek Mythology already, so that is kinda out of the question. Picking your God isn't that revolutionary as you will obviously pick the one that best matches your class. However, collecting those henchmen and being able to swap out their gear, abilities and who you bring with you sounds like it will be pretty cool. Almost like playing "Bard's Tale" online, for those that remember "Bard's Tale." No pvp is pretty weak though: what's the fun of having a gang with you if you can't test their meddle by fighting other player made gangs? |

| I have to say, I am really impressed by the fighting animations, granted that's all we saw in the video though and I'm not sure what else goes on in the game... but I really like the (n)pc's being able to physically interact with each other, like being thrown / etc. |

| I admit to not being all that interseted in G & H. But I hope perpetual does a good job with it as I'm somewhat interested in their other MMO (STO). If they can't pull off G&H no way can they pull off STO. It they can pull off G&H they may be able to pull off STO. (I guess a good G&H is a necessary but not sufficient condition for a good STO)

| I'll 2nd theawddone on animations which is a step in the right direction, but it seems over done. There's one clip where a minotaur appears to gore the player, and swing him around wildly on his head. Then the player falls off and gets back up as if nothing happened. Make it a finishing move or some shit, you shouldn't be getting gored, tossed around and then get back on your feet having only lost 5% of your HP. |
