| Eh? You are from a different gaming planet than me. If I like a game I'll generally play it as much as is possible without say losing my job or gf. Still playing VG and slowly leveling a char in LOTRO. I am feeling somewhat nostalgic for EQ right now and I keep hoping against hope that SOE will try the progression server idea again -- this time the right way with slower progression, old loot tables (manastones and everything else) and w/o things like hot zones & etc. They said they'd never do a progression server but they ended up doing one -- so who knows.

I'm talking the fact that he gets money everytime someone from this forum clicks that ninja affiliate link he posted, signs up for a trial and converts to a regular customer. I make hundreds of dollars each month using eve's affiliate program. Just not on message boards.. its considered bad form. FTL indeed. | |

+1 Internets | No Tad I'm not missing the point. If it is just nostalgia for playing an old game, it is still there, go at it. But you don't really want to do that because there won't be many people to play along with. Asking for yet another new server is at best wishful since there is not a market to justify it. You will have your crowded newbie zones for awhile and as time goes by people drop out. As they have. Any progression server in an old game will move fast simply because the people playing it know the game better, hence no learning curve to go through. The only way to control the pace would be by simply putting in arbitrary time limits. |

ES 3.0 Database and download Connections to the Phrozenkeep forums and the ES wiki are on that page. The mod is still updated, and the forums are somewhat active. Not sure about the online community(as in, private servers), but I mainly play it for single player. Give it a try if you liked D2 at all, it has a high learning curve because of how heavy the modding is.
