| For anyone thinking about starting an Inquisitor and is going to be soloing, prepare to be bored out of your mind. Yes, after they get a lot of AA and a lot of levels they can be bad-ass, but until then they are boring as shit. Check out their spell list to see what I mean. They get one nuke and one DOT between level 1 and 23, at which point they get one new DOT. This is what you'll be doing the ENTIRE time as a solo Inq until much later: DoT, HO, nuke, nuke, HO, nuke, nuke, HO, nuke, nuke. I'm not saying that suck, in fact I'm jealous of anyone who has a group of people to play with (or is masochistic enough to level a cleric solo--hi Wibbo), just letting you know what you're in for. I had to delete mine at 7 when I looked at the spell list and saw no new attack (besides a 3-charge counterattack shield at 18) until 23. |

| Their macro system is actually hella easy. I too started to do some research by looking for EQ2 macros which led to nothing but 1337 haxxor sites. Then I just went in game, opened the macro window and made my pickpocket + backstab macro. It's really easy and intuitive. But ya, while it makes combat "easier" it also makes combat much slower. The majority of damage in a fight comes from combat arts / spells, so the less of those you have, the longer fights take. For instance, on my 25 Brigand, I hit for roughly 35-50 with a 1.7 speed weapon. My abilities all do in the range of 85 to just a smidge over 200, and I've got like 8 or 9 to use each fight. Also, auto-attack damage gets parried/evaded/blocked/etc a lot more than Combat Arts since CA's have a built in +chance to hit (typically in the 35-40% range, depending on the mastery level of your skill). |

| Just hopped on my newly created DE Inquisitor and the newb area in DL Woods is already pretty crowded. Should be quite terrible later tonight, I'll most likely avoid it for a day or two and stick to leveling my zerker. We had about 20 people on when I jumped in and this is pretty much European primetime, so I believe we have a decent sized European contingent.

| Quick Question. Friend of mine and I were looking into doing a free trial to see how the game runs and such. Just going to be 2 of us most likely and well, we're generally anti-social so..what I'd want is what combos make good duos? I usually play melee and him a caster. Is there a couple different good combos? I say several because I'd like a bit of options. Or is this game closer to a WoW mentality of just any two classes can duo most everything pretty well? (assuming one has healing capability). |
