+20 Internets | Well yea factions play a role, I mean factions beyond the good vs evil are non-existant. Like there is no difference faction wise between an ogre necro and a gnome necro. |

| Yeah, it definitely needs work imo too. According to some of the Lore folks it appears when Neriak goes Live, Dark-Elves who co-exist (with Qeynos/Freeport/Kelethin) are no longer to be called Tier'Dal, but Darthiir. At least that's the speculation atm. And a step in the right direction if true. But again on the other hand.... I'm hearing any race/class can build faction enough to enter Neriak. And I would not be able to understand why a High-Elf Paladin would be allowed within 50km of the hallowed halls of Neriak. Hopefully the speculation is wrong. |

+20 Internets | I hope that is true, and that a paladin could build faction with Neriak. It lets the player choose his path through the world, instead of his choices being hard-coded into the system. Perhaps that paladin is mean-spirited and wants to be a spy for neriak. Perhaps the paladin must work with the evil side for the greater good vs whatever earth-shattering menace is upon them at the time. While none of that is written into the game, it lets the player choose his own story in the game, making it more immersive. Nothing sucks worse in an open ended world then running into something you cant do simply because its been coded to not let you (hi2u invisible walls). |

| Yeah, except Paladins are forces of Light and Good (Marr) and all that jazz. Shadowknights are their evil counterpart. Paladins cannot even become members of Freeport. And Neriak is the City of Hatred, dedicated to the God Innoruuk, Bane of Paladins. So no, really doesn't make any sense in the game's Lore. If someone wants to roleplay an evil or neutral Paladin, they're no longer a Paladin in the EQ2 sense. Remember Lucan? Besides which, Tier'Dal are xenophobic and elitist, and only the Foreign Quarter was open to non DE's of evil or Inny alignment. If the speculation is true, it has to do with Christianos (sp) being possessed. She's apparantly one crazy bitch these days =p |

I can't play enough for my Real Life WoW friends anymore and being the 3rd or 4th warrior just means a lot of sideline time. LotRO will be a downtime thing. It's a great distraction but the Lore is already played out. I can read the books to get it. EQ2 is great lore I want to discover and more is made all the time. I have always said EQ2 was my first MMO "love" I just need to build up a good group of people and stick with it.

It's not possible for evils to build enough faction in Kelethin to use vendors and brokers etc.

| So here's another quick question I was wondering. I hear the retail box of EoF includes DoF/KoS - does the digital download include them as well? Or do I need to pick up a box version to get those two expansions? |

+1 Internets | Last I checked the digital download was a standalone 'fuck you' for people who want the convenience. Store copies get Sony better recognition and so they drive people to trying to buy boxed copies of a game. You need the box to get all the goods. Sorry.

+8 Internets | Where? I'd like to know because I tried all the damn places in Kelethin and I've always been told to buzz off.

+39 Internets | Can't buy EoF anywhere in the UK. really stupid on Sony to pull this kind of thing - how do they expect to get new customers when their games aren't even available. Was going to reactivate my three accounts but couldn't buy the box here, so didn't. |
