| Plugged In Like Neo | Wow....Brad is a crazy fucking psycho. There is no reason for a long winded hopeful sounding post like that. You suck ass at PR, nobody cares about the Vision anymore. You're spouting off shit that everyone knows. "Our hardware requirements suck, our marketing sucks, we don't have enough exciting shit in our game, we didn't have enough money to pay our halfass devs, we need more content, we didn't target the right audience." Hey bud - what the fuck did Sigil do right? Sounds to me like you missed every possible mark. I *almost* feel bad for the paying subscribers who have supported Sigil throughout this, but I have to laugh at how completely clueless a lot of them are. Whatcha seeing in the Vision now? |

+6 Internets | someone got criticized a while back for saying WoW has taken several steps backward. Its true. Everything WoW learned from WoW 1.0 which led to creation of Nax, the ultimate, and best raid zone has been forgoten. Its like the devs have started again from square one in designing end game content. Nax was awsome. Great encounters. Great trash/boss pacing. Great loot. Ultimately a true joy to raid. BC raiding content is the exact opposite. Awful no mistake encounters. If you have even one class die on most of the T5 fights, its over. There's no way to beat it if someone dies. Your DPS is screwed, etc. Its just not fun to do these fights. The trash/boss/loot ratio is horrible. I mean, I feel like I'm playing EQ again, where you cleared trash for an hour and a half or longer. What ever happened to trash for an hour, then Patchwerk, then like 3 pulls and grobulus, then instantly gluth, and instantly thaddius. Now its trash for 2 hours, boss, more trash for an hour, boss. trash for an hour.... I DON'T PLAY MMOS TO CLEAR TRASH ALL DAY. I feel more like a garbage man than an adventurer. And the loot situation, even after the upgrades is depressing. Only one peice of 'set' of teir loot can drop a week. So even if you clear EVERYTHING your raid will only see one peice per slot a week. Honestly... this really isn't really enough. Yes, the raid size is 25 not 40 now. But one drop a week is unacceptable in my eyes. Either way, WoW is not what it used to be, by a long shot. I have no idea what happened to the old blizzard, because the new one makes me want to go try vangard. |

Where are the 'lol @ wow's kid graphics Vanguard is the best thing ever and I play it np!!' now? Honestly, this is the best thing to have happened to that man who is so delusional as to believe not only would his 'core players' upgrade to top end systems that don't even exist yet to play VG as it's supposed to be played, that others would do the same just to play VG without it looking like something of the luclin era 5? years ago. Now the icing is on the cake, SOE is taking over and we all know what happens to VG now. Smed counts his dollars as he figures some way to add micro-exchanges into VG and suck dry the few people that are managing to still play it. I hope to hell that others in the industry take note, your ego is not what sells great games, great games are what sell great games. Mr. McQuaid, it's time to cash what value you have left out and go play golf for the rest of your life.

| Not really. Last time I tried it, it was quite fun (more engaging than WoW, actually), but I absolutely hate the graphic style, so I didn't stick with it. That said, the expansion was very well done, and I loved the PvP. Also, at this point, it runs smoothly, another plus.

+2 Internets | He keeps saying that it isn't the code. That its people's machines, and newer hardware will make everything better. But by god he's going to keep throwing "artists" at the problem...seriously what the fuck? In the first place the people that I know who have the worst issues ARE running on the newest hardware...those on mid range shit are playing just fine. |

| Pride Never Die | It's funny he can't get it through his thick skull that it is the code. For whatever reason EQ1 and VG are really POS's when it comes to code. They are both really clunky.

+4 Internets | Fuck. Its over Brad. I REALLY wanted to like Vanguard. I even Pre Ordered it. WHY THE FUCK DID YOU RELEASE IT TOO EARLY? You stupid bastard, if you had released this game tomorrow, with the extra (and it does need alot) of polish and fine tuning you would have had the big game you wanted. WoW is kinda faltering in my view. Ive never seen this many people leave a game since the OoW days of EQ. Blizzard fucked up with this expansion in terms of the most ridiculous cockblock key quests I have ever seen, they make VT look like fun. 40 man guilds going to 25 then 2 sets of 10, then back up... the inability for new raiding guilds to get going. Tigole has made a pretty decent sized clusterfuck. Less than 1% of the population will ever see SSC or above and the itemization and moronic sidegrading is removing peoples desire to play. But that doesnt matter for Vanguard.. you just HAD to go up against WoW launch. Everyone wanted to level up their old toons and check out the new world. Now you are going to "relaunch"?? The fuck you say? Its too late dude. YOU BLEW IT!! Blizzard is putting in textures for Northrend and adding dungeons. You release in a year and they will crush your nutsack again with a new expansion at near the same time. Blizzard has trimmed off a pretty good chunck of its massive playerbase with its stupid decisions this expansions, and someone is going to get a pretty good sized chunk of that playerbase. Maybe its LOTR, and maybe its AoC.. but it wont be Vanguard.

+3 Internets | I don't want to be a bandwagon jumper, but i guess that's what happens sometimes. I am pissed i spent $69.95 on the game and then the $19 (aussie dollars) on this game to play a beta version of a game, because that's what it was, a beta. Never before have i ever gone into a game and thought "wtf, this feels like a beta!" (even playing shit like SWG didn't give me that feeling) but i did after my first hour of VG. I run a low end system by today's standards, the game chugs like EQ did on my 750 t-bird, and that was at 1024X768 highest performace (athlong xp 3200, 1 gb ram, 6600gt). The game was empty, diplomacy is bullshit, Monks were ass, and i was reminded of running the karanas while doing quests, even at a very low level. Myself and 4 friends tried it, i made it to 11, my friends made it to 17, 23, and 44 before we all quit and went back to Wow to check the FREE BC trial and i'm already have more fun even while fixing an abortion of a UI. But yeah, i shoulda known better. I promised myself i'd never give money to SOE ever again after EQ but i wanted to play a game with my mates again and they were all playing so i thought i'd check it out. Don't waste your money. Also, what's with this constant refresh of the page every 15 seconds? It pauses my typing and is really fucking irritating.
