| Suggested Changes to LotRO Figured we could use this thread to post things that could use fixing or changing. 1) Give us the info so we can make our own UI. The basic one sucks ass. 2) Make the /who function work a lot better. If I want to search for lvl 21 minst I should be able to just type in /who 21 minst... not go through and set a dozen filters and still not get anything like what I wanted in the first place. 3) A better AH UI that allows you to filter stuff better. Like if I want to only search for Armorsmith recipes I should be able to.. not have to search through 50 pages of crap I don't need. 4) Better Kinship functions. Like a damn guild bank. And a timer that shows when the next rank will be achieved. 5) Note section on the damn Kinship page by each name. 6) Let the Kinship Founders set rank names and lvls. Nothing more annoying than looking through 50+ people and not knowing who the fuck they are or anything cause you don't have a note section and no way to set ranks. 7) Increase the timers on food and things like shield spikes. 6s a spike for a 1 min buff.. wtf stupid shit is that? Also it costs 40s to train to be able to use that. And 2s for food that lasts 30s.. WTF?? 8) Make a window you can use to see how many more of a mob type you have to kill in order to get a deed that is not that huge page that covers 1/2 the screen. 9) Lower the parry, dodge, evade, and block %s on almost all mobs by at least 10%... I counted it up and in a standard fight I miss due to these things at least 1 out of every 3 swings.. that is way too high imo. 10) Fix the damn fact you can't hit a running mob unless you get beside and in front of them. 11) Fix the damn bug where a running mob regens to full in a few seconds then runs off into the wild blue yonder. These are just off the top of my head.

| I just picked up this game tonight but haven't had a chance to play it yet. How is it? How does it play? I purposely didn't play it during beta because I wanted to see how retail was (made that mistake for Vanguard: SoH). I'm interested in how it is right now. Based on your post, it seems like there are some cosmetic and basic fundamental issues with the game, but when I look at the box and see that I can play as a hobbit, human, elf, or dwarf, I feel something (as far as gaming goes) that I haven't felt in a while. Please let me know how it is, or forward me to a thread that will let me know on these boards. |

| The game is completely fun and entertaining. Here is the thread that goes more in depth about what they have done right. http://www.fohguild.org/forums/mmorp...elease-18.html And yeah most of my complaints ate cosmetic but it would make the game so much better if they were fixed.

| lol That's ok I get that a lot around here ;-) But seriously give the game a try it is well worth it. If you are looking for a guild you are more than welcome to roll on Gladden and look us up. We got 20 or so members now and at 35 I will start cutting back on recruiting so now is the time to get in if you want a for sure spot. :-)

| Registered User | Here are a few more I'd like to add: -Tune pet pathing. Seriously, if I jump off a cliff more than 5 feet away from the ramp to get up it, my squire stands there like a 2-year-old lost in the dairy aisle. Either make pets leash better (jumping off with players), or make them path better (so I don't have to run down to the bottom of the ramp for them to follow). -On the topic of pets, fix the Assist function. This is one bug that really gets my blood boiling. If I set my pet to assist mode he will, randomly, not assist me on a mob, even if I try to explicitly tell him to attack. My only guess as to why this might be happening is that the squire is scripted to stand a set x-axis distance away from the mobs, but a slight elevation variation keeps them from getting close enough to hit the mob. -Increase macro functionality. I understand they don't want people making crazy scripts/macros like WoW that danced the line of exploitation, but it seems like unless you want to yell "INC!" or do an emote you can't use macros. Even just allowing folks to make a '/assist Player' hotkey would be a relief. -Make Fate useful... at all. I have come to understand that LOTRO's stats aren't going to show a great deal of improvement in one specific area, but instead are spread out among various boosts. Yet Fate offers such abysmal bonuses that it's simply not worth getting for any class. Maybe this changes at higher levels, but it seems to me that getting Will or Vitality would be a far greater upgrade than deliberately boosting Fate. EDIT: -Lastly, increase the distance you can be away from someone to trade. If I'm buying a stack of ore from a hobbit I'd like to keep his furry feet out of my personal space.

| 1)Fix the target of target, so I can actually see the person they are on as a UI icon. 2)Fix the horses, god they are ugly. Have you seen a horse walk? I swear they let the intern make that. The fact that I'm sitting here scratching my head trying to think of something else is a good thing. |

I would also change the combat auto-attack for ranged where if I am moving I getting an error message stating that I am unable to attack as opposed to the game rooting me in place to fire off an autoattack. This seems kind of clunky to me... | |

+2 Internets | I heal so I don't really care about moving mobs.. but give me target of target, a scalable UI/font, and get rid of that stupid assist target that comes up in conjunctions. If a conjunction starts make me auto assist or something, having to click the damn target defeats the purpose of hot keying the maneuvers. |
