I think that people are overestimating hunters abilities in arena. Sure we're great in Battlegrounds, but in high ranked arenas? Not really. I do think that addressing some of the synergy issues will help a lot in 5v5 though, and hopefully pet buffs will as well. As I said before, it really comes down to if Blizzard gives a shit enough to apply fixes, or they're willing to let it slide for 5 months (like in Naxx), because there isn't a large enough player-base whining for changes.

The blatant idiocy and misconceptions evidenced in this thread don't make me hopeful for changes either.

Hunter's don't really need direct DPS changes if they'd just change some of the synergy, give pets a bit more utility and give us something besides misdirection.

Yeah, my bad. Most of the Rogues I've experienced were either downs during Naxx (Swords are so awesome, dagger suck!) or Dagger Rogues who knew what they were doing and did ridiculous damage. I hadn't played a Rogue at 70 with Daggers vs Swords so I wasn't fully aware of the minor details.

You bolded the wrong text when you quoted him in that reply. Healing classes can farm/solo pretty damn well if they are inclined to respec and use an alternate gear set from the bank, with the possible exception of paladins who can only do so moderately well. Hunters don't have an option to spec into a raid build that alleviates the issues in raiding. Every class in WoW can solo pretty damn well on trash farm mobs. Hunters can maybe solo harder shit like outdoor elites with the right spec and some brains, but you think that justifies them being the one stand out garbage raiding class? I guess locks need a huge nerf then since they are great on raids as well as being great solo and highly desired in five mans and still quite viable in PvP all around.

Go onto the PTR and get the free T5. It procs pretty decently and can crit for 200-210, someone at EJ mentioned parsing it to around 27hps.
