I make a substantive argument and you tell me its only my opinion and I need to argue logic and reason. Okay. Lets try this: Major Premise: A company that has solid content at low levels (<30)will eventually have solid content at high levels(40+). Minor Premise: VG has solid content at low levels. Conclusion: VG will eventually have solid content at high levels. Happy now?

| vanguard's problem is not the content. provided at the low levels. vanguards current population problems stem from- crappy client at release for the majority of computers in existence. person buys game. loads it up and the first thing they see is....crappy fps in game.. no matter how good the game IS, if the first 15 minutes is spent fustrated as you have to play with game settings due to not being able to have the game playable = noncustomer. i like vanguard's premise, and the potential is there for the game to be extremely solid. but the forced release- along with the other in game problems it had = exactly what all of us said was going to happen. |

| Yeah, you know its bunk logic too ;p. Lets face it deductive logic is BS just because every day previous to today that I've walked out the door and have not been hit by blue ice falling from a plane overhead does not mean that tomorrow I will walk out the door and not be hit by blue ice falling from a plane overhead. With respect to potential (i.e. 40+ content, raid design, lore continuce/storyline) this is where its at: if SOE puts in a great lead designer VG could be another EQ2 with lots of resubs 1-2 years out a la EoF. If a crap designer takes over VG is toast. Doesn't matter what they have now, what matters is the new boss.

+4 Internets | wee being another EQ2. talk about your bronze medal....more like participation award. lots of resubs = subscriber base of half of your initial peak....So we're talking 75k subscribers in 2 years if VG manages to pull an EQ2. |

| He isn't saying EQ2 has 75k subs, he is saying if VG pulls an EQ2 and gets a stable base of about half the initial peak then VG will be at 75k subs.

| I'm sure he meant in touch in the literal sense, as in Brad was sitting there touching him in his bad place. That's about as 'in touch' with anyone Brad can get.

+3 Internets | I never bought VG because: first, everything I heard about "core" gamers sounded like EQ redux and I didn't want to make a life investment like that again, and second, the screenshots of the graphics that I glanced at on this board looked ugly to me, especially character models. The system requirements issue didn't matter to me. VG may have lost subscriptions from the system requirements, but I kind of doubt they lost box sales. |

And I second the opinion that VG has no hope of pulling an EQ2 either. EQ2 was a pretty crappy game at release but it was mostly there, what they had was just not fun for most people. It was fixable. VG isn't even mostly there yet, and what they have isn't fun for most people. It's full of half implemented this and half implemented that, it totally lost its direction in beta. It's going to be back to the drawing board to fix it, and even if they do manage a miracle ala EQ2 and can get a stable sub base after another 2 years of fixing it, the sub base isn't going to be enough to warrant the effort put in. | |

| Another large difference between the turn around for EQ2 is simply the lore and the places the expansion takes place in. Everyone wanted to see what the new Unrest looked like even if only in screenshots. Who really cares about the Vanguard world? I know i don't, the initial play at launched assured that. |
