I don't think he is involved.. I think he is just clueless as to how it is being done. There is a thread on SV where they are asking for people in a chunk that crashes to post details as to what they were doing when it crashed. They have one whole guy devoted solely to this task of tracking down the mysterious crashing of NT.

I think you are probably right, but as I posted earlier :

A guy on the SV forums made a couple of interesting posts :

At some point, when all the money's been made that can be made, we'll have a little expose on exactly how dysfunctional the coding was in this game. I suspect we're very close to the gold being free, followed by a tell-all, complete with screenshots. And some very interesting information regarding an inside job that Sigil will be totally embarrassed about. If you can't trust your server programmer, who can you trust? So there's a little teaser to wrap your heads around.

He added a little screenshot for good measure :

New rumor, after VG devs working for IGE (well Yantis, thx Itzena for info), the devs from SWG are going to revamp VG after SoE buy it, it will be called the combat upgrade, you can find some posts about it by crossing your eyes with an old SWG thread on left and a SilkyVenom post on right (easier with 2 screens).

LTR -- my comment had nothing to do with the rumor and everything to do with his agreement with the statement that companies would comment on rumors. Companies, if they have anyone with a brain running them, do not comment on rumors whether true or not. If true (and apparently it is) we'll find out with a press release announcing the takeover not by Smed or someone else posting on FoH prior to the official press release. Now whether some random guy tells Krueg is another matter not having anything to do with an official company on the record comment on a rumor.

SEC filings are public, and doing one before your press release may as well be your press release because you know there is someone sitting there refreshing the page, waiting for it to happen.. or just someone that happens to be connected and gets notified if it happens, etc.

Simple logic, and SOE may be a lot of things, but they aren't stupid.
Quick note, generally the press release would be an attachment to the SEC filing.

Yes, only a "rumor" but this new turn of events has sparked my interests, to the point I cant lurk anymore here I must post something.

As all are speculating now, I to have started thinking back on some of the moves done since the MS departure. One things I am thinking about is Sigil brought aboard some SOE devs to "help out" and Brad posted assurance to the fans/soe haters this was only to help the "transition".

Call me slow on the uptake, but I would be willing to bet that these SOE devs in truth, went to help with the "transition" that might be revealed next week all along.

This is some good Drama build up for sure...is next week Christmas??

I can't imagine that Brad McQuaid would ever willingly sell the rights to Vanguard back to SOE. Therefore, if this rumor is true, then Sigil must be fucked financially beyond all repair.

I doubt McQuaid envisioned anything like this even after the publishing deal with MS fell apart and he was forced to sign up with SOE. He was posting here a month or two before release claiming Vanguard would easily reach 500,000 subscribers in one year... some spin, but genuine, true belief as well. If indeed Vanguard had done that well Sigil would have made a ton of money, enough to pay back their creditors. Of course the game failed, as everyone who wasn't willfully blinkered knew it would.

Someone above had it right. A Shakespearian tragedy.

...Maybe SOE's Brenlo (who registered here just last Thrusday and approved for posting today) can clarify for us soon.
Interesting timing.
