Coming up with workable solutions is pointless unless you are an actual game dev. Otherwise the best you can do it keep throwing your "This sucks" into the pot until someone finally gets it right by trial and error.

Yes and no. I have no doubt whatsoever that Devs do read popular forums from time to time. I'm sure they have picked up and at least discussed ideas that they've picked up from forums a time or 2.

What are the chances that a Dev will see something I post about tradeskills, print it up, and then rush off to the coders to have them implement it? Pretty damn close to zero. However, it's nice to think that some dev somewhere might (and I stress might) think some of the ideas posted in a discussion thread are good and discuss them with others. Not to mention it's just an interesting way to pass time.
