Gold sellers would get a lot more business if it was cheaper than 200 bucks per 1,000 gold. Should quit wasting money on spamming the playerbase (making them HATE you), and start lowering prices.

Getting lots of these gold seller spam tells now. Some of them even respond to you, it's great. I'm always jealous at the names, though -- how come these fucks can find the one combo of consonants that gets through the filter and I can spend all day at the character creation screen and end up with less than my dick in hand. Fuckers.

Wouldn't someone be able to pick through the LUA to verify that?

Yes. It's also pretty close to impossible to write a keylogger in lua, considering that there's no way to do it without exploiting a vulnerability in Lua, and according to Secunia none have ever been found in the lua libraries WoW has enabled.

If it's a self-extracting executable, has an executable setup program or anything like that then it's a snap to get a keylogger into it and you probably won't find it even if you disassemble the program. I didn't check, just pointing that out.

Yeah, not saying this has one built in (never used this and I don't play wow), but piggybacking it onto the exe would be the way to do it, not inherent in the actual mod.

Been using this mod for over a month now and have not seen any outbound data requests pop up so I doubt this has a keylogger in it or I'd probably already have a naked toon.

Edit: I should also state that I don't get it from Curse but directly from the ACE svn. I have seen instances of mods uploaded to Curse that get altered to include a keylogger.

It's a zip with nothing but text files in it. There's one batch file, but it's all DOS commands.

Why can't Blizzard just disable tells and mailing from the 10 day trial period ? All this spam shit started happening when the 10 day trial became a 1.99.

that'd be nice. hell, let people choose how specific their own spam catcher is with parameters like that.

The 10 day trial is free, not $1.99.

CMs have said many times that most of the spam isn't coming from trial accounts, which already have fairly low limits on how many tells they can send. Also, 2.1 does have new anti-spam stuff.
