Dont they run on accounts instead of boxes over there? You buy an account with time on it for X dollars, the time runs out and you buy more or it gets banned and you just pay X dollars to start up a new account? Its considerably less still, yeah, but Im thinking they pay for the account instead of the box. Lots of cyber cafe type dealies going on...

Or am I getting China confused with some other asian country that works like that?

Just fucking let me adjust the whisper range I want to receive.

Also, friends list takes precedence, so if I invite a friend to play, he gives me his name and voila I add him so he can message me since level 1.

Otherwise, I Would seriously disable whispers from players 1 to 50, heck all the way to 60.

And someone said that this might increase petitions: "halp I cannot message ma fren", but a message saying 'The player currently is not accepting messages from players lower than level 50' would suffice, also the ammount of petitions to ban gold spammers would drop so a few saying "halp" would be ok.

Seriously, the number of petitions about gold spammer messages HAS to be far greater than the number of confused trial account users that don't see why they can't send whispers. Hell, think about how many duplicate reports they get about the same spammer that GMs will have to slog through.

Not only is this quite trivial to do with an addon, there are addons that do it.

I'd be surprised if the number of petitions from trial accounts was meaningfully above zero. It isn't exactly a particularly obvious thing to do if you've never played a MMO before.

Yeah but for the reasons set forth above, I simply don't trust outside addons. Why the hell blizzard doesn't just add this type of addon in game is simply mind boggling. Are they really saying "fuck you" to its customers over this issue? It's been an issue that has been angering me for awhile and if they don't do something about it I just look for other games to hit, such as LOTR.

If you get it off of the ace SVN I wouldn't worry about it at all. Dloading from curse gaming which is known to have trojans compiled into the install exe's of various repackaged favorites is asking for trouble.

The mod is quite nice, however the most annoying thing is that you have to hear Blizzards copy&paste replies every single time you report shit to them. Can I have a moment of your time? bla, We'll investigate this bla, Is there anything else I can do for you bla.

Writing that you don't want them to contact you because they're annoying, doesn't help. Our policy is to contact anyone online... BLA fuck off. Funny thing is that there areGMs that just close your petition and move on.

my wow account recently got banned reason listed "Linked to accounts found exploiting the Warcraft economy"

basically i sold 20 bucks worth of gold to ige.com and got banned the very next day...

do i have any chance of appealing this? i spent something like 1500 hours on my main in the past year or less... so yea it kinda sucks to lose all that time spent..

anyone know anyone who got banned and had it reversed ?..just wondering how solid of a case they have against me or if i can potentially talk my way back.. either way it blows =\
