As far as shutting down ships. The Lachesis is a pretty sweet ship in the Gallente camp.

I really would add the Abaddon to the list of notable Amarr ships. It has the best alpha strike in the game, and isn't gimped on CPU/grid like a lot of Amarr ships are.

Sabre not being on that list is a crime. Its the defining ship in it's class, to the point of making the other 3 ships in that class look like dogshit.

I just trained up for Sabre. Anyone have any good setups for it?

The only reason i added arazu instead of lachesis is they are basically the same ship.

Interdictor fittings are almost entirely reliant on how much you feel like spending on a ship that will get called primary by 3,826 battleships in every fight.

Fun thread, though: :: View topic - [PVP] Saber setups?

And for the record, I think interdictors without cloaks are a waste.

most important thing to remember while flying a dictor is your sole purpose is to interdict things... not to fly around as a pwn mobile and get raped by ceptors =/

I always thought the most important thing to remember when flying a dictor was one shotting ceptors.

Seems to be what our Sabre pilots enjoy doing.

I still believe that the reports of ceptor pilots being owned by sabres in general are very entertaining =p

There's something strangely satisfying about blowing up 'ceptors, period. Had to run two different gatecamps from two different corps lastnight and blew up a 'ceptor at each one with my 425mm AC II's, including a Gisti Crow.

That was more fun then detonating battleships.

It's not precisely one-shotting them, but if they're in range of your guns for any length of time you can rip them up pretty easily.

As far as setups, I tend to go with the MWD/24km/2xMSE, OD/MAPC version. I know a lot of people who swear by the MWD/24km/14km web/MSE setup because it's a lot better at nailing Crows.

My experience with Sabres has been that I've butchered every interceptor I ran into that wasn't a Crow, and the Crows tended to run away in structure(because I don't have a web and they typically go 5.5km/s or so).

I think myrmidon gives any ship a run for its money as best mission runner.

Playin around with mines fittings today I came up with:

5x 250mm railgunIIs
1 cloak/something

3x large shield extender 2s
2x mission specific hardeners

6x shield power relay IIs

3 shield recharge time rigs.

Gets 380 shield/second, does 600ish base dps with ogres 2s.. On paper it seems like it might be the best mission ship. It does as much DPS as a domi and tanks better imo, it gets more shield per sec than a drake, it does almost twice as much dps as a passive tanked drake.. matched up against a raven its prolly pretty damn close. Biggest downside is it takes a huge amount of SP to fly like that.
