+25 Internets | Huh? Back in PoP a decent group in the castle in Plane of Fire did an AA in 20 min and I mean a regular tank healer dps group.

| Then I guess nothing has changed? I was getting on average with no xp pots an AA every 20 min at level 70 in paw or something around that. That was chain pulling too. I'm sure if you're some poopsocking raider then you could get more in some uber zone I dont know the name of.

| Nothing has changed about the time it takes to get an AA. In fact, the higher level you are, the harder it is to get an AA due to the availability of mobs that are a higher level than you are. The way it stands right now, you are better off staying level 65-70 and grinding out as many aa as you can. I would love to see a revamp to the AA system to allow for the rapid acquisition of AAs up to around 400 or so, which would then taper off and become more difficult once you hit around 1000. |

+71 Internets | The best way is to get all the good AA for your level before going back to regular XP. Otherwise you will be gimp as hell and getting shit xp. 500 AA likely covers every critical AA all the way to 75 for a lot of classes, but I remember Kreugen had 400+ AA and hardly any were wasted. The joy of needing tank / dps / casting AA! |

| Even if it was 20 min per AA, youre still looking at about 200hrs to get 500AA. But the 20 min AA relies on you being around experienced players in a group 100% of your play time, whch you or I know is impossible. So add another 200 hours LFG and then you can see how painfull it would be for the average player today amassing 500 AA.

An average group will be pulling in 5-6/hour. I don't know what the ideal groups could pull in, but I'd reckon at least 8. Lower level "average" groups could probably do even better... if you could find one. | |

| In some ways AA sucks but then I remember being level 60 in WoW for over a year and everytime I killed a mob I was like I wish WoW had AA.

| Been playing on FV for a couple monthes now and its easy to make AA at 75,and no you wont be a gimp if you only have 100 aa. If you play alot, you can do 300 aa a week. I'm doing 30-45 AA's a day ,when i can acutely play..thats in a 4 hour grinding session at 75. TSS has plenty of awesome EXP places for 75 groups. Also the raid experience is pretty big now compared to what it was in the old days, i've pinged (AA ding) many times on just doing casual raiding IMHO I would just get 75 as soon as possible, then do AA's because there so easy to get. You can also get EXP pots or use lesson to make it quicker. Also I am still amazed on how many people still play EQ,and I'm on a low pop server. FV feals like the old days where you knew everyone, and rep acutely counted for something. EQ is still the king of the hill for me anyway, and I've tried all the MMO's =/ Last edited by column; 05-25-2007 at 03:15 PM.. |
