+1 Internets | For fucks sake Sony The best critique that I can have of these is that they aren't as bad as the Luclin models, even without assuming the worst when it comes to animations. Sigh, just fucking sigh. These would have to be animated just incredibly well for this to have been a worth while endeavor.

| i liked most of them for the most part. I did like old Dorf and Halfing models though. Barbarians were cool, but luclin ones look cooler, especially Barbarian warriors in combat.

| Nobody looked good in combat with luclin models, they all swung their weapons with their elbows and it looked fucking retarded.

+49 Internets | The new siren models are pretty hawt. Most of the Luclin models sucked. I think many the ogres liked theirs because it made them look badass instead of like a cuddly dumbarse. The luclin gnomes/asslings were HORRIBLE though. And yes, the old animations > those new luclin ones. It was especially dumb when they removed the unique Iksar monk animations.

| the old models for eq still rank among the best model design of any mmo period. Sure, they have higher quality ones and shit now, but those models have such life. Eve head design and City of heros are the only other mmos i would say came on par. Models in original eq were simple, but they had so much life to them despite the real limitations of the engine and mechanics in that day and age. Lots of sliders does not make a good char design. These new ones look clean and well made, but they dont have the... life to them that I would want. I used to play a human char with the eyepatch in eq, and tell all sorts of shitty stories about how i lost my eye. I really enjoy details like that, and i know im not alone. |
