Not sure where WoW came from, but healing in Vanguard is a much bigger deal than other MMOs. Mobs have unlimited mana and they heal for a shitload. Killing a healing mob, when he comes with two adds, is quite hard.

Bugs and performance aside, VG is a solid game.

You realize in EQ you could stun/mez/push most mobs to stop casting, right?

None of this shit is fucking brand new, not in WoW, not in VG, probably not even in EQ as I'm pretty sure since the days of pen and paper you could stop a cast.

And to the person claiming are bosses different...Again welcome to every fucking game released. WoW had bosses that look just like normal mobs but with an extra ability/more stats, guess what, VG does too. They also both have bosses that look totally different with fun scripted encounters that contain adds, special holds, paths whatever. Both games do the same thing.

Fucking shit the things people bitch about. And this isn't directed specifically at you sam, it's anyone that posts this retarded shit. Stop comparing event X in WoW to event Y in VG...or ability x and y, you get the point.

What we should really be asking is for some info on their ideas for the cool shit he(Brad) posted and not flaming him for admiting they have and are working on problems. Tell us about your ideas for player run towns with RTS elements, talk to us about this non-ecludian space dungeons, that shit sounds cool. What are some of your ideas to impliment with the physics engines benefits?

I hope that we can get a response to some of that shit and that the people here will be mature enough not to expect any response as the exact and only truth of what they will impliment but just brainstorming about it's potential. Like that fucking worm that ate corpses dicussion venting off into a 60 page thread about how loosing your gear would suck when it was an idea for a single encounter.

Brad makes a mountainous post, is totally on point, but still comes out with what amounts to daydreams. I predicted that they will release together with Vanguard and I gave you a reason why. They did release together with Vanguard and the reason turned out to be quite effective. What else do you need? An official statement?

Anyone with a minimum of business competence would have done the same and if not, that person would have to be replaced. It's that kind of decisions that seperates the sharks from the fish and if you want to be successful you better be a shark.

Also you really need a lesson in Ockham's Razor or Bayes mathematics. It is very unlikely that both products that take so much work and effort are ready for release at the exact same time. It would involve too many lucky coincidences. If both products get released at the same time, it's far more likely that one side (in this case Blizzard because in contract to Sigil they had the option to release or not to release) has planned it to be that way.

The argument that Blizzard could not have released earlier than they did does not matter, because they didn't have to. Sigil released earlier than expected after all. What Blizzard would have done if Sigil had waited a bit longer is unknown and you cannot derive any argument from it. Simple logic...

Of course unlikely doesn't mean impossible and the version I described is the most likely one from a business point of view. It doesn't mean it happend that way though. A certain margin of error cannot be avoided when you make an educated guess.

Seriously; where is the stuff like bosses that actually work together; imagine for example a boss that fires a beam, and a second boss magnifies/changes it or aims it at a certain player; you have to react based on party composition, etc.

I haven't heard anything from VG that goes beyond what we faced in EQ.
