| You might disagree, but combat in Vanguard feels a lot less restricted to me. Snares, roots, and run speed buffs allows me to attack the mob without going face to face with him. I hated that in WoW. Felt so artificial being forced to "melee" a mob even if you were a caster. Also, mobs don't constantly "interrupt" your spell casting like they do in WoW. That was one of the most annoying features I have every experienced in any game. Right up there with having to protect idiotic npcs in other games. CC is also much more important in Vanguard and it makes fight a lot more interesting. Classes has a lot of unique features and buffs play a larger role as well. It all adds up to the combat system feeling much more solid and varied. |

| Yeah, I disagree. If you are 'meleeing' mobs as a caster in WoW, then you clearly need to l2p.

| He was referring to being stuck in melee range with no escape or kiting mechanism, a common rant people have against the priest class. It really is a petty point, so ill drop it. But youll have to take my word that I understand the mechanics of that class far better than you. |

| So you mean that sometimes there is a risk that mobs might actually be able to hit you and fight back? And you can negate this 'risk' in Vanguard? And that makes it 'challenging'?

| I'll personally never play a MMO that soloing is the most efficient way to level and all the group dungeons are instanced. I dont care if some of the group dungeons are instanced or you have a door that leads to a small instanced part with a 'boss' guy and a puzzle or something, but I really like camping. I hate running the same instance for 2 hours 4 or 5 times when all you need is something from a mob towards the end or w/e. But I'd just rather work my way to the mob and sit through PH's and wait for the guy to spawn. I like just sitting there and being able to chat in game and on AIM, check my email, make dinner, talk on the phone or any other RL stuff that comes up. I like having the option of getting a phone call and having to go out and knowing that there is someone else in the dungeon that can take my place easily. I do not have the attention span to run numerous instances and burn out way more quickly than camping an area with a group. I know that its contradictory in a way but thats just the way it is for me. |

| Ah the beauty of subjectivity. To you fun is also clearing trash over and over to collect some coins so you can spawn a mob that is basically the same as everything else but has a 'name' and drops some orange or red or whatever loot.

Nice swipe at the risk=challenge=reward potential argument, though. I chuckled.
