"Absolutist views" abound in Vanguard threads. And more times than not when its a complaint about the game, its almost always insisted upon that the entire experience that led to the conclusion be explained in detail, as if some crucial bit of information might somehow redeem the face of the game. Which in a nutshell, is what Draegan was pointing out. So, Cuppy said 15 instead of 14. Big deal. Look at the underlying circumstances that were basically "demanded" of her to uncover that shocking revelation that completely absolves Vanguard of any and all shortcomings I'd argue that Draegan's observation was pretty spot on.

| The reason people feel the need to do this, specially in VG threads, is because of all the hate on both sides. I admit i have participated in it and as such was just as much a part of the problem as those I was attacking but it is a current trend on these boards that you can't just state an opinion without showing why you have that opinion or what happened to change your opinion to the current one. Perhaps when VG interest dies off we can get back to just straight MMO discussion and flames. *shrugs* I think VG hurt this board because people were looking for something else and this was the next great thing but it just didn't deliver on what it should have and that pissed a lot of folks off, including me, and made for a very explosive atmosphere.

| Is this death thing a joke, or am I misunderstanding it? I thought that a major aspect of VG's design was always said to be that players were expected to keep multiple sets of equipment to assist with corpse runs. |

| I'm pretty sure that backup gear hasn't been a big issue, ever.. at least since they put in the 'soulbound gear goes with you on death' thing. And since you can choose to soulbind just about anything, most people aren't really doing corpse runs naked or in full backup gear.

| Yeah, it's just another one of those things that sounded good on paper that didn't translate so well in game.
