Not bad at all. Couple of nice changes there. They should have implemented those ideas when they were first presented to them in the games early beta stages. Could have saved a lot of unnecessary heartache.

I'm still going to wait until later this year/early next year to give it another try though. But it definitely seems they're on the right track.

With every patch I wonder what happened to the original design docs, and when did they get edited to the mess that they are now.

Thats to f'ing funny. When there were hundreds of post on the beta 1-3 boards about how corpse runs were out dated , tedious, and would drive people away they didn't give a shit.

"If you are looking for a game with more risk and serious penalties for not playing your character correctly then maybe Vanguard isn't the game for you."

Had you read my comments in the thread and the statement from Draegan I was responding to, I was commenting on the supposed "absolutist" views he was saying all of those of us who like Vanguard have, which is garbage. I've openly admitted to the bugs, problems, and shortcomings of the game, while acknowledging the good as well.

I also wasn't arguing against the right for people to have other opinions on the game. I defended Cuppy's right to, in fact.

Pay attention to what's being discussed, rather than simply going on the defensive, Rayne. You'll look more credible next time.


EDIT: Interesting changes on the Test Server. Color me skeptical until I try them out.

Does not dropping to 5 FPS anytime 6 people enter the screen count as a hook?

Doesnt happen to me when 6 people enter, it happens to me when mobs ae though. That kills me, but thats bieng taken care of soon.

Happens to me still in rivers. Whenever I enter this area my frame rate drops to 13. Whenever more than 7 people enter my area of view, with a 6800 gt and 2 gigs of ram, I drop even lower.

When do you think it is time to "fix" rivers?

I honestly dont spend any time in rivers, so i have no idea on that area. I spent most of my time in Qalia.

I cant wait to upgrade though, but i knew going into the game, that my pc would barely handle it, i couldnt in beta at all.
