That is a fantastic measuring stick. =D I never really thought of that...

Probably going to be waiting forever. Not really related to balancing of classes, but remember how long it took for troll/ogre to have that helm glitch fixed while fighting? Just another example of how long EQ was far from perfect. Probably going to see patch notes similar to this when we have a new president

There were also some new assets "Mantis palace." (new raid zone or just the dev's nickname for an already existing dungeon?)
Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but are you saying they added new assets for cliffs/cliff caves and water shaders, or are they going to be adding these? If they're in game, pics please (mainly curious what they did with the water, because it wasn't very good before). ~

We've got an informal guild rule for Thelaseen, whenever ressed or called you jump and hit yes at the top of the jump....and pray you still don't get stuck.

They're patching in the files, but they are not live to my knowledge.

"NOTE: This patch is noticeably larger than previous updates because we are adding new art assets to the game. Look for more news about this coming soon!"

I'm guessing they're just trying to break up all the art assets we'll have to download into a few patches, and then they'll make them live all at once, but I guess we have to wait for their word. I'm just guessing really, but you can see what files are being downloaded on the launcher and those were some that stuck out to me. There were a lot of files that had "weapon" and "armor" in them, and it looked like some new animations too.

Ah, in that case I wouldn't be entirely too optimistic; during Beta they pushed a ton of art assets through (especially shaders and such) and rarely were there noticable differences. Of course now that it's release, maybe the changes will be much more significant and not minor tweaks that most people won't notice.

Seriously I enjoy WoW but the quest system couldnt be any more "durrr" if it tried. Its almost embarrassing reading in general chat someone that STILL cant figure out what the fuck to do after the npc has done all but put a golden path in front of them (its coming.. you know it is)
Nah, they wont lay down a golden path, but they will steal the crazy taxi arrow system that directs your every left and right until you rech your destination. That or if they go golden, it will be golden glowing footprints that lead you to your destination. They would have to add a bug that could change peoples paths and lead them into a cave full of waiting pks to make it fun though.

True, I just figured that since they're announcing the art changes they should be significant. When there were significant changes in beta they would announce them too, but like you said most of the time new assets were hardly noticeable.

Yes it is. They have to make every single helm for every single race. Id rather they focus on other things like now.

Maybe they should have extended that unibody idea into a unihead feature as well.

And unisex, no one has broken into the hermaphrodite market yet, its an untapped goldmine i tell ya!

Helm thing is kinda annoying but im sorta used to it i guess after L2, i wish they would atleast add like mask graphics like L2 had tho.

I would turn them off anyways, I hate helms, besides the T3 and T4 Hunter ones

I guess at this point we've totally lost the focus of the thread, especially after like page 2 or so.

I am assuming that Nino was indeed discouraged from posting here (at least concerning VG), and that he cannot confirm this w/o looking bad for talking about it in Sigils eyes. Not to mention the possibility of coming here and saying:"Yeah, they told me I couldn't post" could quite possibly precipitate another shitstorm, this one going after Sigil for preventing Nino from posting.

Has there been any actual, pertinent talk about Nino's situation since Monday, the day that Nino had predicted he would be talked to? It's been several days of flames, unrelated discussion and other crap.

Back to the threads original flavor: it would indeed be to bad that forum drama ended up screwing Nino over, and I would hope that the predictions of what would happen to be wrong. Myself I'm pretty glad that I dont have to worry about what I post (or what others post) affecting my career, and that I can pretty much post whatever I want whenever I care to.

Don't say that! Sigil will just stop all work on classes for a few patches to get you suckers in!

Oh well, I guess Nino can post and tell us what happens once he's fired.
