Ever 30plus dungeon i been in the last few days has been packed. We were doing sisters event in Patheon lastnight farming the weapons, and there was still 40 plus people there at about 11pm pst. Sunday night i was in some Greysomething dungeon just nw of southwatch and there were tons of people in that dungeon. NOw that people are catching up and hitting the 30's Its a ton easier to get a group.

I don't dispute that he can tell it like it is, however in the name of "peace and harmony" why resort to flaming when your a mod ? He could easily have PM'ed me, or even ignored me, but he chose to attack me in a very public, very visible way.

So if I get this right, the same people who are going to "clean up this place" are doing the very thing they are going to clean up ? I think some of you have completely lost your minds, truly.

For all I know, every single mod hates me, and thats fine, it's their right, and they do their job effectively and correctly with regards to me, in general, not deleting or locking my posts unless I go way, way over the line (which is not very often). That is how a mod generally is supposed to work, you work behind the scenes, in the background, ensuring peace and harmony on the forums.

You don't throw more fuel on the fire, that just smacks of a lack of maturity and or poor judgment. It's not like I didn't know how Tuco felt already, and it's not like we all didnt know the forum is considering going heavy mod.

As a matter of fact, can you link 5 posts or so you have made that you would classify as containing pertinent information to the topic at hand? I am not interested in topics you made discussing controversial issues, I am genuinly asking if you have any posts at all on any threads on this board where you came forward with new information.

From browsing the last 10 pages you made of posts quicky, the only two threads that are not about Vanguard bashing and could be VERY VERY VERY vaguely be classified as discussion are one "GF addicted to WoW" and one where you complain about the itemization from the newbie quests in TBC. None of it has any discussion about game mechanics.

Gnome I have to apoligize, but I did not realize this was the class mechanics forum. I will persevere to try and talk more about class mechanics in the future, and less about forum member rights, moderator behavior, and the antics of the developers behind the games we play.

Well if he handled it 100% right is very debatable I guess. Yeah he could of sent a PM but I am also a firm believer that sometimes people need called out on their actions in front of everyone. Sure pulling someone off to the side and saying "hey, knock it off" can get them to stop but often times they only stop for the time being. I dont even need to mention names for people to know that is VERY true on these boards. "Oh shit one of the mods is upset, ill stop...for now" is all too common around here.

I hope they do become a bit heavy handed with the modding to be honest. I really long for the day that I can come read a thread about EQ2/WoW/VG before work and enjoy myself. Instead of the way it is now where I have to skip half the fucking thread because you guys wont just give the shit a rest already. I dont even play EQ2 or VG but Id still would like to read up on the latest and greatest without sifting through endless amounts of shit. Though that is prob asking for too much. I understand that some of the mods here are very busy with leading their guild and really dont have the time to baby sit all day.

Blade they can do whatever they like, I was just pointing out that with all the momentum towards "heavy moderation" I have to assume the end goal is peace and harmony, and more constructive discussion. Having your mods attacking people they don't like publically is probably not going to move the forum in that direction.

It's an interesting analogy you bring up about Furor flaming, I wonder how much his actions back then had to do with how the forum is now ? I also wonder why we suddenly "need" to get away from the model here that has worked for so long.

Perhaps, but at the same time back when Furor posted people kept their shit in check too. You still had your pure retards that felt the need to gay the place up as much as they could but they ended up in the rimjob arena. Back then you posted only what you thought was valid discussion because you were held accountable for your shit. Nitpicky posts like the one Tuco was referring too could of got you a wave of shit from him if he deemed it retarded.

With Furor, he explained himself and then moved on. He didn't feel the need to berate the point over and over (either supporting or flaming) in the same thread.

Lost, I hear you, but I have to beg to differ on the "back when" part. I still think this forum is fucking awesome. I still find out shit about the games I play (and don't play) long before I pick it up on the "official forums". We have devs and industry officials posting here both with and without their corporate spin hats on, there is a great flow of information, and there is even quite a bit of entertaining "useless drivel".
