+29 Internets | I did say one of the first... I could imagine a dev being banned from it as well of general asshatry... Oh wouldn't that be ironic, to be sure.

+25 Internets | I am not sure some sorte of "posters moderating each other" system such as voting for post is a good idea. That always sounded to me like something that can devolve fast into some clique war and/or popularity contest. You can also be sure many people will vote based on the opinion and not on how this opinion is expressed.

- Do you even actually PLAY the game ? - Do you have a POS computer ? I play a Sorcerer 40 on Flamehammer. Played so far 15Days which is reasonable since i started when servers went up. FPS :My FPS is from 20 to 30 using a X1950Pro (160€) in 1600x1200 on a 22" What card do you use ? a GForce2 (C2D6400 + 2GB Ram) Broken Quests : I have found 2 , yes TWO quests that were severly bugged. 1) Bandit hunt in Seawatch (mob doesnt depop if abandonned) 2) Tickes in Araja Arena at Seawatch (easily fucked up) Thats is 2, and have done at least 300 : - Everything around Leth Nurae from lvl1 to lvl26 (Newbie to Trengal) - All CiS / River Valley / River Castle - Southwatch / Seawatch Cove Memory Leak / CTD: Still there, very random : Once per 5-6h usually, 50% of the time if i evac from Mino Temples in Seawatch Cove. The BIGGEST problem VG has atm are : 1) There are not enough people to make an enjoyable game (needs to double). 2) There are not enough people to make an enjoyable game (needs to double). 3) Tanks need some serious love (soloability and above all repairs). VG has gone a long way since it late beta release. Its a really enjoyable game if you have a regular crew. And are willing to put up with a few bugs once in a while. It is NOT the pile you shit Utnayan describes. | |

| At first I thought that a separate forum would be a nice addition but reading some of the responses has made me think about it more. I do like the thread specific banning idea because it still allows users to speak their minds in appropriate threads but could stop some of the rampages that go on in some of these threads. Sometimes people bring good heated discussions to these threads but sometimes it seems like a handful of people just flame each other back and forth. If those people can't control themselves when speaking on a specific subject or continue to show that they will not offer constructive discussions to a topic then they really should be removed from the discussion until they can show they are willing to contribute. This shouldn't be reserved for the haters either, there's been plenty of fans that aren't constructive to a discussion and disrupt a thread with flames/bait tactics. The VG threads aren't the only ones that contain thread warriors but they have been the most prominent ones of late and show an increase in these types of threads. If Requiem does decide to test it out, I found a user created plugin for that specific feature on the official VBulletin boards. Ban User From A Thread - vBulletin.org Forum has the plugin and around the 14th page is discussion on making it work with version 3.6. I don't think the Nerd Rage thread would have really needed a thread specific ban though (I wouldn't use that thread as the measuring stick) because it really was intended for the rickshaw from the start and I'm surprised that it got as far as it did. It served its purpose I suppose; a thread about Nerd Rage will contain Nerd Rage. |

| It's on the last page or 2 of the nerd rage thread, in the hall of shame now.

| He has a 7 druid and a 12 sorcerer as far as I know. And given that his video card was overheating and causing the game to crash I think it's safe to assume it's not a new computer and probably on the low end. |

Performance .... now thats comedy. You posted specs for a high-end system and you also use an ATI card; apparently nVidia cards are seeing issues such as pure white textures on objects and all around slightly less performance. The performance discussion is pretty much pointless. I think we can all agree that you need a top-notch system to get acceptable performance, and even then, "acceptable" is subjective.
