For each of us, there are half a dozen (or more) people attacking us, flaming us, one liner'ing us, all with nothing to do with the thread. You want that policy in place ? You should think about it, because I don't belive you understand what it's going to look like in the end.

| I come to the FoH forums because I can hear people "tell it like it is," without being modded/censored. While there are a lot of flames, and some threads spiral out of control, they are necessary evils to the success of this board. If Brad wants a soapbox, he can use his own forums. The first thing I do now after I check reviews is visit a game's forums to find out more about the game from people who play it, and have had their issues addressed by designers/devs. Spin it how you will, but not having their own forum reeks of something to hide. |

+1 Internets | You might ask yourself why they do that maybe? Because you are shitting your bullshit on every single thread talking about Vanguard. I don't say you never had a valid point. Valid points have been made from you, Utnayan etc about Vanguard, but you just can't resist the urge to post in every goddamn thread posting many times in the same thread just to say the exact same thing over and over again. This is not discussion, this is hammering your opinion because it's so much more valid than other people's and by doing that you prevent ANY valid discussion to take place here. |

Do you see me in the patch note thread for Vanguard? No. Did you see me in the gameplay discussion and improvement thread? No. But when someone posts a thread asking "Why all the nerd rage against Vanguard", and a thread linked to a horrible review of Vanguard, I'll go in there and post what I know. My advice to you is when you see a thread titled to bash the shit out of a game, maybe you stay out of it instead of going in there and saying we are all saying the same thing.

You (and people like you) are the main reason industry people DO NOT talk to their playerbase. Because they can't trust anyone that is not employed where they work. I still can't believe you posted what you did, admited that you promised you wouldn't leak it and almost sounded like you were doing the playerbase a service by leaking it! Based on that alone you should be one of the first banned from the "Dev forums" idea cause you can't keep your mouth shut even when you promise you would.

Yes, devs should be able to come here and post (when appropriate). However, when you have the type of launch that VG had, and then you have subsequent ranting threads, and Brad posts his patented 'wall of text that contains no content' (refraining from VG jab....), what did he expect would happen?

+2 Internets | I'd prefer to leave the board as unmoderated as possible. I think we should incourage people who just want to mindlessly rant to stfu, but a lot of times there is a kernel of truth or a valid point hidden in the rant. Sorry to pick out Utnayen but he's the most used example.. some of his rants do make a point (a point I think he typically over blows and wildly exaggerates... but a point) and some are just out there conspiracies. But even the conspiracies serve a purpose when a Dev can respond to them. I'm sure Ut wasnt the only one who thought what he did about Sleepers for instance, now we have the other side from Kendrick and can make our own call. Same with his VG rants. Fair an balanced as they say. If a mod wanted to do something, I think the ideal thing would be to find a way for us to easily sift through the pages of shit and get to the good discussions. Some way for a mod to flag the crap and let us click a button to hide all the crap flagged posts and read just the actual conversation. Probably get some good drama on people getting flagged too. |

Nino did more for bring players to vanguard and (more importantly to Sigil/Brad) kept them playing longer then they probably would have. If you silence him, then I guarentee most people that read these forums will say bye to VG and hello to the 4+ other MMOs out there that are more stable. I used to be, arguably, the biggest Vanguard fanboi on these boards. I had Sigil as my avatar and Brad quoted in my sig... I was invited early into beta and never could get into it. There are many reasons for this... beta bugs, extremely poor performance early in beta (even worse that what people think is bad now), no friends testing, lack of time to fully commit to testing regularly. But in the current state of the game, with the amount of time I ahve to play a game nowadays, I can't do it. I can't lose a few hours of game time due to bugs, I don't have the time and/or patience anymore. I know Vanguard has tons of potential. It can be great, ad I know the devs are working their asses off to make it happen. One day i know I will be back, cause I do that a lot. But for now, fix the game and they will come.

Brad should seriously have someone at his company kinda proof his public messages through. It's not that the guy is a complete moron, its just that his posts come across as too fluffy, aloof and disconnected to get his points across.

Yes you can say Blizzard is now the 800lb corporate gorilla, but it IS a business. I am assuming Sigil wants to make money and isn't a just a clubhouse full of geeks that want to make and play games... we all know how that goes. It's a shame, I wanted VG to be a REAL alternative, but it's just one giant paid beta and no matter what they are fixing, I think it's too far underwater to save now.
