I got pretty burnt out after awhile. In a few months/year this game will have some amazing potential but right now I've been bored.

This is good proof that VG is failing, sales/subs wise. SoE did this when SWG was turning to shit, now VG is doing it.

Is it really that bad? You seemed fairly adamant about the game last week, what changed? The patch? Or did the newness of it all finally wear off?

I'm genuinely curious - I haven't checked the game out since beta - so it seems strange that someone that was so excited about the game doesn't want to log on.

I never played SWG -- is VG anywhere near as bad?

Make the next couple of months free of charge to play. During this time work on extensive bugs and fixing this shit out. This way you can see HOW your costumers are affected in the game and can check / fix the status as it goes on.

It would be like beta only with the people who actually intend to play the game giving decent feedback.

VG imo has a chance to be the funnest MMO i have ever played. It just has quite a few annoying bugs. Hopefully that shit gets fixed and fast.

Hell, it pulled me from eq1 after 6 years.

They wont give free months to play. I dont ever expect anything like that to happen.

I would rather them have a 10 day free trial to anyone who wants to try it. I guess like how EVE has it.

I am just bored. Its a fairly frequent thing for me (see user title). It was really a combination of things. I started to realize what little time I have to play MMO's and watched my friends trying to find groups to no success and mindlessly grinding on things because they couldn't find a group. Personally for me, the bugs were minimal. But I never did get my hitching problem fixed and it frustrates me to try to play like that.

In addition, I have just been having more fun with EQ2 right now. A couple friends of mine picked up EoF and I just decided that EQ2 fits my playstyle and desires better. I'm not unsubscribing from VG...I'm going to keep playing it just as casually as I have been and watching it grow and mature. =)

Who knows..next week I'll probably be back to it again.
