Another thing I read over at aionsource is that the first 10 levels are channeled for overflow. Like TR and EQ2.

Well you can slightly change them, or have hybrids of them. But whatever was just saying since the names and all are very cookie cutter, now I could care less if the classes are fun to play. Especially since for once they have a buff/debuffing class, which means I might get some quality "full support that doesn't rely on filling healthbars" time.

And channeled first 10levels is good, you never want to group for these levels cause it's just faster alone, and the last thing you want is having some retard looting your apples so you can't level for shit. Yeah I'm looking at you, wow's Durotar. Fucking apples, and fucking crabs. You do that or have like vanguard's 500 starting zones. But well with only 2 races it'd be hard to do ^^.

This is the game I am upgrading my computer for. I haven't been this stoked about a game since WoW. I think I am actually an Aion Fanboi, but I'll refrain from posting on FoH too much because I know how bad it will come back to bite me in the ass if the game doesn't live up to what I'm expecting.

Well you can probably test it out when it goes open beta in korea. There's this website I forgot the name of, but Aionsource will probably link it, that has detailed walkthrough with screenshots and all to register for free trials/free games in korea/japan, using valid fake adresses, and also telling you what the fuck to fill on the forms. I used it at some point when I was bored to test out some random games I had never heard of, the download speed is pretty shitty usually to asia, but you end up being able to get on stuff. I believe that's what people who play Ragnarok Online 2 do.

And open beta is due rather soonish I guess, like, in a few months.

How is that different from people in the WAR thread saying they fear another WoW? I've read through this thread in its entirety and the L2 comparison seems to pop up on every page or two. I played L2 for a month or so, but I cannot remember why I quit or if I even thought it was that bad. So what about Aion makes you think that it's going to be a L2 clone?

My #1 concern about this game is character development. I am hoping that they will add more adjustable "skills & stats" to the characters to make my cleric different from yours. The things I am looking forward to in this game far outweigh that though. I have faith that the CBT2 is going to flesh out the concerns players in CBT1 had, and I think they will be fixed. Yeah, I know this is NCSoft, but it really sounds like they are trying to make this a top-tier MMO.

I don't fear a clone I fear the insane amount of bots and gold farmers considering how huge this game is already over seas. The grind also worries me.
