I am starting to see some nice weapons variety in VG. Some common magic stuff I bought for level 14 the other day look really pretty. Would have drooled over them in EQ.

Well paladin also need to have their skills finished because past 40 you don't have a single new skill, only upgrades of old stuff, same for clerics from 36 to 49 not a single new skill.
I know it is the price to pay when being at the top, but with the double xp weekend many players will reach 40.

What about the friggin exp bug that is still there? You would think that if they put that in the patch notes they would at least test this. I'm sad to say I am beginning to agree with Utnayan and wish I had not bought this flaming piece of shit.

Thanks for continuing to push the things put on hold during beta out to us.

Any word on Berserker or Hero classes? Or did they for sure get moved into the first expansion.

Paladin

The Paladin is getting tuned as we speak, so expect some changes soon.

The Berserker is a down the road, Inquisitor will likely be first so all archetypes can have 4 choices.

Hero Classes is a different game. Maybe AA or alternate advancement is what you meant. We'd like to see that in before an expansion and maybe take them to a higher level with prestige classes or something with an expansion.

I'm not in charge of the Test Server, but I am thinking of making that my home so I can help prevent mistakes from hitting the live servers. Plus I will have GM powers there so I can /nuke people. I play on the FFA PVP server and I am glad I can't use GM powers there. So many jackholes I would have dropped off a cliff by now. Legions of ganking dorks; but I digress.

What XP bug Mirran? If you can tell me specifics I will investigate for you.

The ranger/casting school issues will make the next patch.

OK, back to work.

...

I know what Im asking is minimal with the work that needs to be done..

But after a night of running Gulgrethor Fortress I cant say its anything but frustrating to fight around the giant circle 3-4 times to finish the first set of chain quests they offer. To add to this the copper dropped by these mobs is less then even the Redcap fortress full of 2 dots by Vesks Exchange.

I guess what Im hoping Nino is that some tuning is going into the older areas hopefully to make leveling up earlier more exciting. And I saw from patch or update work(ksarvo gulch) was done in other areas so hopefully please hit up Gulgrethor Fortress so its more then just a Rep building dungeon.

PS: Seriously I just about lost my mind doing a full circle of that dungeon for the 1 last quest item I needed.

Nino, it's the same exp bug that has been a ongoing problem. For example my group wiped in a cave in KH last night. Took us roughly 1.5 hours fighting back to our corpses in the meantime we gained more exp than we lost on our tombstone. We loot corpses and it says we gained 170k or so exp but actually you get none because you have already filled the buffer of the exp debt by fighting back. So you basically lose a complete death worth of exp.

Heh this bug has been in the game since forever. Back in beta 3 a dev told me it would be fixed 'soon'. I believe Nino did say it was going to be fixed 'soon' again recently.

Can anyone outline the major differences and similarities between Vanguard vs. EQ1 and EQ2/WoW? I've seen a lot of people compare it to EQ1 in one way or another but was looking for something a little more comprehensive before I buy it.

This has been fixed and is on the test server now. It will hit the live servers next week.

The illithid is considered a "Product Indentity" by Wizards of the Coast and as such is not released under its Open Gaming License.[1]
