| Gold Prices skyrocketing? So I've been noticing that I'm far from the 6k gold amount required for the swift windrider, so I checked gold prices to see how much I'd have to dish out for the last 3k I'll need at 70 and noticed that the prices have risen, a lot! $ 32.95 was 1000 gold last time I looked on my server, now it's up to almost $ 90. Are the farmers in trouble? Or is the demand simply so high now? |

| before the TBC launch the prices were at 200+.. i guess you hadnt looked in awhile but they started a sharp climb in the last 6 months.. they have actually fallen considerably since TBC came out... at one point IGE was charging over 400 per 1kg. |

| no idea but people in your situation are probably pushing the prices up. ps: its not worth it to spend RL dough on the epic mount imo. your choice of course.

| Demand is definitely higher. I'm guessing that prices will drop though considering it is a LOT easier to grind out cash at level 70. A couple of hundred gold per evening questing is not that hard when you get 10-20 gold as reward plus the vendor trash. |

+54 Internets | Yeah, prices are definitely dropping. When I was about 1k away from my epic mount I half-assed considered it. Was about $170 and I said fuck it, made 500g in about 2 days and borrowed the rest from a friend instead. Just checked and it's down to like $80 for 1k now. Honestly though, it's really not worth it, you can make gold wickedly fast. Questing at 70 is stupid awesome and even if you've finished them all, farming fel armaments, arcane tomes and primal water/air/fire is worth a freaking ton. You can easily push out 100g an hour if you have a DPS class, and if you don't, might as well level one up anyways for farming purposes. Edit: The farmers know this too I imagine. Bfdgdkdhd has about 40 fel arm's up in the AH for 15g b/o on each. Pretty crazy. Last edited by Zehn - Vhex : 02-13-2007 at 07:32 AM. |

| All of you people saying ("its not worth it") must either A) be broke or B) unable or uninterested in calculating ones hourly rate farming gold then comparing it to ones hourly rate working. |

+2 Internets | Questing, at least, is still a lot of fun because you get to explore the storyline of the zones. This sense holds particularly true for Netherstorm/Shadowmoon Valley, which are two of the best zones in the expansion for fun factor.

| Agreed on Elemental Plateau. I'm a skinflint so I farm my own Primal Water for my Frozen Shadowweave set. The MMO Gods rewarded my dedication last night, looted a Blinkstrike. Now hopefully I can find a goldbuyer to take it off my hands. |
